Good review Don!! I own this watch, and really like it a lot. I totally agree with you about the bracelet; I ended up taking it to a watch repair place to have them size it for me as the pin system they used is next to impossible to figure out, and beyond frustrating. Once you get it sized though, it's definitely a looker and feels / looks great on the wrist. Hang in there and get it sized; you'll look at the watch in a whole different light afterwards. Cheers!!

Hi Don, I have this in black and also their first edition in blue. In my humble opinion aside from the bracelet it is a very nice watch over all. Dial, finishing, lume, case back ect for me done very well. I am sorry you missed almost all of that in this review. Also again in my opinion this is not a "standard design diver" which are look alike and pop up in kickstarter every other day. It has a distinctive design, I may say like dress watch as a diver, thin basel and clean dial are main point of this watch, I just wish it has an at least 9015 in it so classy second hand would fly over with minimum stutter. By the way, even though their claim was to come up with a better bracelet it ended up with this. I was able to size the bracelet with the tool comes with the watch but it was very very hard.

I didn’t miss all of that. I show macro shots of the whole watch, show the Lume and I even say it is has nice dial and the bezel and crown works nice. Again, I can only go by the sample they send me and in this instance, two bracelets were impossible to size. Oh, tool they included? Broke on first bracelet trying to get the pins out.

WatchReport.com yes l watched the close shot segment and even cranked the volume up to hear what was your opinion since even it is a video, as an audience l expected for your narrative comments as you show the bits of the watch. But on the other hand if you are ok as a reviewer if you feel good about only saying things you said above and ranting about bracelet at 90 percent of verbal section than be it, l don't have anything to say.

My lord, people are never happy. Enjoy your watch. As I stated in video it is nice, but the bracelet is an obvious issue. I review with customer in mind and don’t sugar coat when there is an issue. Lol. You can’t win with some of you guys. You gush over the watch and people claim your biased. You tell it as it is and that there is an issue and you get “you didn’t say enough nice things”. Again, enjoy your watch. 👍

WatchReport.com to be honest you put it up against that wooden table and its a thing of genius because with that colour combination you made it look more appealing. Ive watched this review about 15 times as im always so close to buying it. Its good to know about its weaknesses but the only think im not really sure of is its side profile it kind of looks like a burger with the flat bezel and shape even though i know its not particularly thick at around 13 mm. Also i have a 6.5 inch wrist or thereabouts and i hope it would fit okay. Watch addiction reviewer has same size wrist and it seems to look fine on him.

Almost 8 minutes, to complain mostly about the bracelet? I like your initial summary of the stats to describe it, but how about some of the finer points? Maybe some detail on the Dial attributes, Bezel feel, etc? BTW, the PVD goes for $239 on their site...guess everyone wants SS, despite the 'Chinese bracelet special'. Looks like a beauty for 300 price point!

That’s what the closeups are for. Honestly, barring the bracelet issues, this is pretty standard fare here. The new format is to show as much detail as possible without having to talk. As I stated in video, both crown and bezel operate find and it does have a nice dial and overall look. The reason the bracelet was discussed so much should be obvious-it was a big problem and I wanted potential customers to know it.

Don, Enjoyed this review very much. Too bad the bracelet is such a pain. I was ready to pull the trigger, but now not so sure. What are your thoughts for aftermarket bracelet(s)? Thanks for the review. I bought this watch 1 week ago and love it. I had no problem sizing my bracelet. Took out two links ( one on each side) came out easily a went back to gather great. You really need to see this watch in person to appreciate the beautiful dial and bezel. To have a double domed sapphire crystal with anti glare on bottom and a sapphire bezel at this price is fantastic. I also like the slightly smaller size of 41 mm. I think of this as a dress dive watch more than an actual divers watch. Great watch and price, I don’t think anyone would be disappointed.

From other comments we’ve seen on this review, others had bracelet issues as well. That means, it’s a crapshoot. You don’t know if you’ll get a good or bad one. We got 2 bad ones as you saw in the video. If the bracelet issues weren’t there, this would have been a slightly different review. As said, can only review what we have in front of us.

the only draw back of this watch is it looks too much like a submariner or any other typical diver watch but great specs and sapphire bezel insert /inlay.

I just don't like watch brands named after people i.e. the founder. Watches named after people have a pretentious cheapened boutique feeling. Rolex, Tudor, Omega, Seiko are great names.

This is one that you buy for the watch not the bracelet. The only way a company can produce and sell a watch of this quality for $300 is to cut corners. So that cheap out on the bracelet

loyd walters not true. Look at our reviews of the Helm Vanuatu and the Helm Khuraburi. It’s on the rare side, but trust me, a good watch with good quality and a good bracelet can be had by some microbrands for $300.

I own the new MK II blue Date and the Mark II black bracelet. These are NOT terrific watches. The bracelet on the black IP watch is POS and the buckle on both is thin and chintzy. The clasp on both is rather fragile where it attaches to the bracelet. The dials are not neatly as "dramatic" as every reviewer claims and the bezel on the new blue date model makes the watch too busy. I'd send them back for refunds but it costs more to do it than it's worth. i guess I'll sell them on Ebay. Both Parnis and Bliger are far better homage watches for less than half the price.

The expression is "price" or "MSRP". The use of the word "point" in the same sentence as "price" is superfluous, inane, and lame. It makes you sound like a person who is trying too hard to sound important. The term was made up by marketeers and makes everyone sound like a used car salesman.
