@Mustang GT350R Depends. Because of a friend who served in the german army and trained with americans i have a bit of insight. The regular german infantry is better than the regular US infantry. But they have only a few troops compared to the americans. The good thing about that is that those few troops are getting much more training than the regular american soldier. But there are differences between the american soldiers. The army, for example, isn't as professional and disciplined as the german army. The US marines are almost equally good as the german army. But the US special units are far superior to the german special units. My friend was extremely impressed by them. The american special units are used to real action on the battlefield while the german units do not see as much combat. Training might be good but it won't prepare you for the battlefield. Veterans with a lot of combat experience will always be superior to soldiers which hadn't seen much combat. In ww2 the german soldiers had, overall, more battlefield experience than their american counterparts. However, most veterans were already dead at this point. The germans were heavily outnumbered and, what's even more important, heavily out-equipped. My grandfather served in the german army in 1945 (was not more than a kid himself). Fights between infantry barely broke out because the americans bombarded the german positions with artillery and from the air until they couldn't return fire anymore. The german artillery had shrunk at that point (supplies were short because the production didn't run smooth anymore and the equipment was splitted because of the several frontlines) that they couldn't counter the masses of american artillery. The few times they had the american in ironsight was after hours of artillery bombing when the US troops wanted to look if the defence was still intact. When the german soldiers started shooting the americans retreated and the entire thing started again... artillery bombing for hours. The USA tried to prevent as many casualties as possible. They had a very good chance to save their injured soldiers because of many ressources and medical help. The germans, on the other hand, low on supplies and without a really functional medical-support, lost many of their wounded soldiers.

The only reason Russia was brought into it was because the Germans invaded Russia. Basically Germany would have been pinned in their own country without being able to expand had it would have led to an invasion of the UK or USSR. "American loser" doesn't really make sense when combined with everything America did during WW2.

They're both equal quality at different distances, I just did a US soldier vs German Soldier battle, each had 250 soldiers, the first battle was a long-range battle and the German soldiers with their rifles out beat the Americans, however when the battle was up close to each other, the Americans smoked the Germans hard, so here are the final facts; the American soldiers have a deadlier weapon with a fully automatic submachine gun up close while the Germans have a more accurate long range rifle, US soldiers are stronger up close while the Germans soldiers are stronger at further distance. Stop saying the Germans are stronger than the Americans in this game because thats not a true fact + are you even aware that the German soldiers are actually Nazis in this game?

The German soldier fires slower than the US Soldier, but they have much longer range, and if I saw the stats right, they have more hit points than the US Soldier. I don't know why the developers gave Tommy Guns to the US Soldiers and didn't equal that out by giving the German soldiers their sub-machine guns. Machine gun vs machine gun, or rifle vs rifle, would have been more fair. This way, you need an overwhelming force of US Soldiers, and favorable terrain, to beat the Germans.

I have this game and I actually tested these two soldiers in different ways, the first battle was a far range distance and the German soldiers had a better advantage with their long range rifles, Second Battle was a much closer range and the Americans smoked the Germans. Jrod ProductionStudios yes... but Russia did way more in ww2 (Europe) than every other country in the allies combined. They took the most casualties, with numbers the make the total US losses look almost microscopic in a side by side comparison... and in turn, they caused the vast majority (if I had to guess over 90%) of German military casualties, as well as the vast majority of the casualties suffered by their allies in Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. Even Italy took notable casualties to Russia at Stalingrad. Without Russia, the war would've been a lost cause with certainty (the allies could never have landed in Europe successfully with the full German military power waiting for them at the shore). Britain too, was a bigger player in the war in Europe, winning the air superiority and beginning the bombardment of German cities and Industry, as well as doing most of the work in North Africa, and sinking Germany's few surface ships (which were, though few in numbers, very powerful vessels). It always annoys me as a history buff when the US gets put in as the main allied power in WW2 games... They were not... it is simply innacurate and doesn't give proper respect to the role of Russia, Britain, France and others. It's even worse when they try to promote the US as the main allied power of WW1. That is, frankly, disgusting. The US really did come in last minute in that war, and suffered miniscule casualties when contrasted with most other allied nations (Britain, commonwealth, Italy, France and Russia). When they put the US in with Britain and Italy for Battlefield 1 is was a bit ticked off. They didn't include Russia or France (which both took the 2nd and 3rd most casualties respectively, beaten out only by the German Empire) but included the US (whose role in the war was small and short lived). It's a marketing ploy to try and get buyers in the highly nationalistic US, I get it, but it is very disrespectful to the actual event and the nation's which suffered the most in it.

France got conquered. Britain held strong, but had no push against Germany until the US came. The Soviet Union didn't join the war until they were invaded in 1941, the same year that the US joined the war (also note that the US had provided significant resources to the war before joining). Britain, the United States and the Soviet Union were all crucial in the allied victory, as were the contributions of many smaller nations.

To say that the US supplied the Germans as well is demonstrably false. Look into the lend-lease act a bit, educate yourself. The US supplied significant resources to Britain, the Soviet Union, and some 25 or so other allied nations. The whole system was designed as a way of supporting the war against Nazi Germany, without actually having to directly participate in the war. Can you really blame the American public for not wanting to get involved in another European war after what had happened just 20 years earlier in WW1? If you actually look into the facts a bit, you will see that it was actually the Soviet Union that supplied the Germans from 1939 to 1941 by virtue of the German-Soviet Commercial Agreement. The French resistance was vital of course, but that doesn't mean they didn't get conquered. They did, but they did continue to resist, which was paramount in helping the Allies on the western front. The British were holding strong, but did not have enough resources compared to Germany to actually make any attempt at a push onto mainland Europe. Its not like Germany sent 90% of their military strength to the Eastern Front, it was barely above half. They still had some 3 million troops on the Western front when the US was in the war. The Soviets clearly sacrificed the most in the war against Germany, and the allies may well have one without the US, but causalities would have surely been significantly higher, and victory was far from a guarantee. The US captured some 3 million German soldiers, to downplay the contribution of the US in WW2 is nothing but American hating bs. Throughout this board I see you repeating the idea that the US joined right at the end, but I have yet to see you acknowledge the fact that the Soviet Union also didn't enter WW2 until 1941. Also, WW2 started in 1939, and ended in 1945, 1941 is hardly "at the end."

Secondly, the ranks behind would just have to wait their turn to get into a firing position; otherwise, risking blowing off the heads of their own mates. Fourthly, there is no fracture of the first line, no crossing over to do hand-to-hand combat. Fifthly, how does one evaluate the fighting spirit of either side? In neither side had a tactical advantage, why give a win to one side of the conflict or the other? The video doesn't supply any commentary about why one side would lose to the other -- nothing about weapons, nothing about combat experience, nothing about the tenacity of one group over the other. If equally balanced this conflict should have ended in a draw.
