FOSS softwares like these are great entry point for Linux as they can help you transitioning to Linux more easily by not relying windows-only proprietary software. Also, I'm pretty sure "Okular" is pronounced as "Ocular" since KDE loves to use K as their naming scheme.

Great video! Lots of open source goodies I'd never heard of before. Just an FYI that there's currently controversy about the new owners of Audacity now installing telemetry in the software, and being dodgy about how it's being incorporated. Lots of info available by searching "Audacity controversy". Fortunately, there are forks. One example is Ocenaudio, which is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

You know that you wont get much views or good&helpful comments when your channel's community is just blindly linux fan without respecting others. I mean I am using Linux for about 1 year, but the specific part of the community which disturbs people if they don't think what they think is something I really hate. (Large amount of this guys are in the "toxic" part of the Arch community). I love the Linux community which is kind and here to help people or improve Linux to make it better. That is why I really switched. It has changed me to think more positively, wanted to give help to others etc. You are free to use/do what you want in Linux. This is what I really love. But you are free as much as you don't interrupt others freedom. This is what I think the freedom means. What do you think about this, I want to listen :) IMHO, You can't say "dumb" to somebody that uses something like Linux mint or because s/he doesn't use what you use. You are not better than the other person because you use arch etc. (this is just and example for general case.) For example, you can hate ubuntu. But distracting people who use Ubuntu doesn't make you a better better person. Even the opposite. And you can't deny that ubuntu helped Linux more than YOU while you're just hanging around with your impulsive speech (in general cases). I don't defend Ubuntu here, this is just most common situation to give as an example. And what about non-technical users or newcomers to Linux? I hate when they're underestimated by the toxics. Are you happy when you make other people hate? :/ I just want to see more happy penguins in community, is it a lot ;)?

BTW this was not a message against you or your channel, just in general. Please don't get it wrong ;)
@TechHut3 жыл бұрын
Oh no I didn't. It's a great message. This is why I do Windows videos here and there. There is no better way to slowly bring someone to the Linux community than to have them follow you because of a Windows tutorial. Shuting down and being disrespectful to those who use Windows will keep the Linux adoption rate as low as it is. And I agree on the distro take. I love Ubuntu and all the "noob" distros. Heck I use the most user friendly version of Arch you can get. (Manjaro) Thanks for your comment. 🐧🐧

How's VSCodium performing against VSCode? I'm a Linux user wanting to go a step further into open source and I'd want something good enough to handle different development tools since I'm still a student doing web, mobile, and desktop development.
