1) Don't be the smartest person in your friend group. You learn from the people around you and this is key. 2) Don't chase relationships. It may look like you're alone if your friends are with their partners, but jumping into a relationship will cause more damage than finding the right person for you. It's okay to not be in a relationship because you are still young, but nowadays people seem to have forgotten that.
@epeglab1o18 жыл бұрын
rgpfighter I would say go for a relationship, but don't expect it to last. When you're young, it's the best time to explore what qualities you like and dislike in people. Sure heart breaks sucks, but you would at least have experience with such powerful emotions with training wheels.

Adults often get mad when teenagers talk to them, tell them to suck it up, or they overexaggerate and immediately try to force them into this magic solution that'll never work. The solution is to make the adult feel better. Not you.

I wish I knew these things when I was a teenager, I learned most of these the hard way. One advice I would give teenagers is: don't be so eager to grow up, being a teenager gives you some advantages as you don't have to go to work, you don't have to do house work and you don't have to pay bills, enjoy it while you can. As the years pass life will get a lot harder and you'll also find out that years pass faster (the same 10 years from when you were 10 till you were 20 seem a very long time, well, the same 10 years from 20 to 30 will pass in an instant).

It will affect you negatively later in life 3 Get a job before moving out. save money for when you do. 4 Don't smoke. You already know it's bad for you but it also costs the average smoker 2000$ a year. 5 When it comes to your first time drinking don't do it at a party. Make sure you're around people you trust. I first got wasted drunk at home. I had family in the house and I learned my limit in a safe environment. Also take it slow. Alcohol can take a bit to kick in. Get up and move around every once and a while to see how drunk you actually are.

I think that is pretty common actually. You can notice it with kids often. Kids (or anyone) who won't listen to their parents, and get corrected by / talked to by a third person (friend of parent, school teacher, or youtubers) will take the third persons advice more serious. Some psychological thing that makes you listen more serious to third parties instead of your parents. Perhaps you have the same thing ;) and I think many of us do, unconsciously. Which is fine

my advice, as a slightly older teen(being about 19) keep your friends close at heart, but always be ready to bludgent them to death. not the physical beating, but in a work sence. you both want that job, so you both apply. you want it more than him, so beat him in the sence of applying to the job. if you both get rejected, your still friends, but if you get accepted over them, and they are upset, be ready to kill them, and explain how compedetive job markets work. if they hate you, and stop being your friend, thats thier choice, don't let it get to you, just let them go(beat them to death in your heart). if they stay, you have a true friend,

I'm 33 Advice to teens? Say no to drugs! Learn to choose your battles wisely! You don't have to fight over everything! Don't sweat over stuff you can't control. You can't control it anyway, so you're stressing for no reason! When it comes to stuff you can't control, you need to learn to respond responsibly instead of reacting irrationally. Learn the power of saying 'no'. You don't have to say yes to everything.

I have eight children and homeschooled for 17 years for many reasons. One thing I think is important is to teach the child/teenager about life and to even talk to them about how making this a good interactive topic among peers, mentors, etc. matters, as talking with others about this helps give new perspectives instead of being "fixed" on one "school of thought." Thank you for this channel. I have been watching at least four per day to actually have watched them all.
@dontwuryboutit8 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna go ahead and piggy back off that piece of advice where he says "don't worry what your peers think". That's such good advice. That should have been number 1. Nowadays you find it so common that teens tend to want to do the trendy cool thing that some teens give up their beliefs, put their morals to the side, and don't value their values for the sake of being recognized by their peers. Stay strong minded and strong willed, teens. Trust me, after high school, you won't hear from about 99% of the people you met in high school. You'll only stay in touch with just a handful of people that were your close friends. Be a leader. Make it the "cool" thing to not do the cool thing. Once people start seeing that someone else shares the same beliefs, morals, and values, you would have started a new "trend" but in all actuality it's just how you feel and you would have changed several people's lives.

Here is an easy one: "if it looks dumb, it most likely is", so best to stay away from out of control parties and the whole #yolo thing. Live your one life to the fullest, but please do not try to receive a Darwin Award in the process, or even to less extremes messing yourself up from idiotic "rites of passage". Earning your license, finishing school, being with the people you care about and cherish are the best keys to living a good life. I sincerely thank you for reading this message in its entirety, and possibly considering the wisdom it contains even if it's a tad unfocused. Have a good one.

Don't try so hard to fit in. You will learn not to care so much. Don't be in a hurry to grow up. Being an adult has it's drawbacks. Make the best of your education. It makes life a whole lot easier later on. Keep an open mind on future prospects. You will probably change your mind a dozen times before you find something you like. Spend time with your loved ones. They won't be around forever. Don't spend all of your time with your head buried in a phone or laptop. Get out and meet people and enjoy your life. And most importantly, you are going to have a sex drive. Please be protected! That way no risk of STD's or unplanned pregnancies.

As an 18-year-old finishing my first semester of college: DO- try new things (responsibly, you can go to frat parties, just be careful what you drink. It's okay to fool around too just make sure you're safe about it) DON'T- get stuck in any kind of comfort zone (Don't stay in your room. Don't get into any kind of long-term romantic relationship that didn't already exist before school started. Both of these things will end up restricting your social life later on, making it difficult to expand your social circle.) DO- establish good habits (studying, exercising, eating better- the freshman 15 can be in muscle if you do it right!) DON'T- bite off more than you can chew (Sure, some classes sound interesting, but think of the time commitment you'll need to succeed in them. I took way more STEM based classes than first semester freshmen were supposed to, resulting in a nightmarish hell that I am glad will soon be over.) DO- sleep.

Tip #1: Its because of your own reasoning that you changed. If you make an unpopular decision, then change your mind later, that's because YOU chose to. If anybody told you before hand not to do it in the first place, or that you'll fail because you're not cut out for what you were going for, ignore them, and keep trying to accomplish other things. It's not because of them saying "it's just a phase" or "you're not good enough" that you left your goal. It's because you are on your own mission to find yourself, and you, yourself found that the task at hand wasn't what you were destined for. So when a new goal comes up, and somebody tells you you'll fail this one too, ignore them. Remember, it's because of YOUR own decisions and YOUR own experience that you changed YOUR mind. Doubt is not the reason you quit. Everyone who has now found their place once had someone who told them they couldn't do it. But they knew they didn't know them like they knew themselves, and they knew they were going to know themselves better than they did even now. They knew nobody could take that from them. You should know that too. You are you. You made your decisions. Nobody else did. Nobody else can. It's because of your own reasoning that you changed and it's because of you that you'll continue to do so. No matter what they tell you next time, ignore them. Ignore them because THIS time, THIS decision may be the best one of your life, and nobody but yourself has the power to change that.
