Hi Rocket, Congratulations on achieving your life's goals and living your dream. I retired 2 years ago this month and moved to Thailand. For me it was a great decision. I can live a good life here on an affordable budget. Back in the USA, I would not be able to retire due to the high cost of living. I would also be freezing my ass off this time of year and spending a fortune trying to heat the house. I miss my family and friends, but definitely not the rat race.

Bowl of nuts 😂 I would be wanting caviar for the price of that pint lol 😅 I learned to carry an empty bottle through security so I can get it filled with tap water at a bar (usually they are ok if you ask nicely or you can add that you need to take medication). I was buzzing when you walked through the entrance saying international departures ❤ I cant WAIT to do that again ASAP 😂 Hopefully to Thailand again (even better if I dont have a return ticket). Great trip , Congratulations an more interesting and adventurous way back to Thailand . I paid £24 for my Visit to the IGA Lounge in Istanbul , But I do have Curve Pro + , which is £180 a year all lounges are £24 per visit on the lounge key Network , but the main use of the card is no FX Fees , so I use it for spending abroad also .

I got to hua hin lat night after a 1 hour a 14 hour and a 4 hour flights. And then about a 4 hour grab because I got off the plane and all the buses were booked for 4 hours. I was tired and sore and didn’t want to wait or go over to ekamai and chance it.😊

Prices in Istanbul Airport are insane .7.5 Euros for a Coffee in a paper cup .I flew through last week .Impressive Airport otherwise though . I agree with you about the Turks being extremely friendly .
