Imagined being sad and burnt out and just needing a place to rest and regroup. That could drain your savings in the USA. A $400- $600 flight could get you to an affordable place where you can practice doing nothing and having take time to care for yourself. Being a baller sounds fun but taking time to breath sounds life affirming.

People waste a lot of money in Thailand, I live very well with a gf in thailand for less than $1,500, all this renting a nice condo near Bang Kapi 5 minutes walk from the airport link. Great video Dr Mark.

I really appreciate that you show smaller towns with more normal places to stay. Please continue to show alternatives to Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket.

They all look clean and while my budget might allow for something different I really appreciate you making these videos. We also enjoy your videos from China, you know if you’re ever there. Never miss a video. Thanks so much.

I stayed in your first one you showed, for 6 months at the start of Covid. As I could not get back up to patttaya where I was living. Mamma and Pop shop up the road is awesome. 😊

My lady friend lives in Rayong , but she worked a contract job in Chonbury for 3 months when we met. She said Rayong was nice, but she never mentioned the cheap rents.Maybe because she owns a house there .

@JoseLuis-wx8sr18 сағат бұрын
super basic rooms in Rayong, in the middle of nowhere. better pay a bit more and stay in pattaya, pretty cheap and you have everything
@dannyho678613 сағат бұрын
well, depends....................I could see myself at some point wanting to be further out from all the chaos .
@silly_hammy16 сағат бұрын
That's the problem. Yes. There are many cheap places. But if u are too far from the action, u might as well as 8k to 10k baht a month to ur rent total 😂😂
@mst64297 сағат бұрын
Yes this is pretty common as i have stayed in one before. They are usually 4 story apartments with a room, toilet and sometimes a balcony between 3-7k baht. Usually no gym, pool but laundry and food is nearby. So if you are disciplined with your lifestyle its possible to survive with a small budget. But if you party big time you will go over your budget. Young or old, key is 'simple and disciplined'. Easier said than done, good luck! 😂

I wonder about the restaurant-bar-coffee scene and nightlife variety there. I'm not exactly a bar-fly but would like to be not far from action.

Is it hot all year round there ( tropical) or does it get snow there. Any time of the winter time. As I hate the snow. And don't like the cold.

Is there a bus up to jomtien/pattaya ? How long would it take to get up there, an hour or so ?
@samsmalle6 сағат бұрын
There are buses every hour and it's about 50-60 miles distance, all motorway. Easy to do the journey if you want a few days in sin city.
