25 Differences in Classic WoW (vs. Retail, Vanilla, etc.)

Alot of people want to speed level to 60 so they can raid right away. Not me, im going to take my sweet time and enjoy leveling 2 or 3 characters. End game isnt the only part of the game. Of all the great memories i have of vanilla, few of them involved raiding. 👍😎

Hi Quissy! Love the videos! It’s important to note that red sickness also scales between 10-20. For each level you add one minute of res sickness. So at level 11 you have only 1 minute of red sickness up to the 10 minute cap at level 20

Honestly, the only tip should be: Don't look up anything, don't watch tip guides or any other things, just go in blind and discover things on your own. If people want the Classic experience, this would be the best way to do it. Especially if you never experienced WoW classic before.

+500 IQ for the First Aid tip, I cannot agree enough. Even as a Holy Paladin how important First Aid is. Don't be the guy/girl that thinks that because you are a healer you don't need to level First Aid.

Why are you suggesting to skip dungeons while leveling? Isn´t that the place where you meet new people, maybe new friends, maybe future guild mates? Also the loot from boss drops and dungeon quests is very good and the extra XP is always a nice bonus. All that to "level faster"? What do you get by leveling faster while skipping huge parts of the game and social aspect of Classic WoW?

I’m not telling people to avoid dungeons. I’m more comparing that leveling method to that of retail. “leveling through dungeons is not as effective as compared to how people spam them in retail.” So in a way, yes, I am solely referring to how quickly one could level by dungeon-ing. I’m all for the social aspect of running dungeons and meeting new people. That’s how I met so many awesome people in the Beta. And I often mention how much I love that community feel of running into the same people again. But strictly in terms of leveling quickly, retail: spam dungeons. Classic: quest, grind, do some dungeons imo

"Re ay jent", technically, isn't the proper way to pronounce the word based off how the world is spelled, but is certainly a common pronunciation of the term. In the English language, vowels aren't separated in the middle of a word, hence why the "e" is not separate from the "a" when pronouncing it as "Ray gent". A similar word is Ronald "Reagan", which is pronounced "Ray gen".

I am sending this video to a few friends who are returning to Classic. I know from experience how having to re-learn this by trial and error on a pserver caused some unnecessary frustration. When you have been trying to get to a quest mob, dying constantly to finally kill them and try and loot their stuff only to run into a bag full error and then die to a respawn before you can get the item.

Thanks for the video, very helpful. I am baffled as to why do all the youngsters say Regent for Re-Agent? A regent is a person that rules a kingdom when the king or queen is too young to rule. A reagent is a component of a recipe or spell, like Symbol of Divinity, is for casting Devine Intervention for Paladins.

Great video but I will have to say you are incorrect about the dungeon leveling. Maybe in the very beginning the quest lines keep up. But I have breezed through most of my 30s by running Scarlet monastery everyday. Just last night I went from 38 to 39 alone in one session buy running cathedral with three mages myself as a warlock and a priest. I probably ran cathedral six times and cleared it and under 30 minutes.

the ranks diminish over time. I had gotten to a Corporal on the Beta at one point, but by the end it went down to Private since I hadn't really PvP'd!

If you mail loot to a bank alt, make sure you go deal with the mail on that bank alt before 30 days. I think expired mail gets deleted after that period! That's what i remember atleast, it could be wrong.

the dungeon portion is wrong its been recently proven that dungeon farming depending on composition is a lot faster than world questing, especially on launch when the zones will be flooded, cleave groups can clear a dungeon really quickly to the point that you get more exp per hour than questing solo, so unless you're a duo dungeon spamming is a bit faster ;) Ebbnflow actually brings this up and tested this with Tipsout

Here’s a funny story. Because certain class quests are tied to your race. I remember playing a orc huntress on a naughty server. Went all the way to mulgore. I leveled all the way to level 10. But the tauren hunter teacher didn’t have a class quest for me. So i went to thunderbluff. Looked for my level 10 Hunter quest in hunter’s rise. I found a hunter looking tauren named Melor Stonehoof. ‘He has a yellow quest for my level 10 hunter and Stonehoof looks like a hunter and he’s in the hunter district so this gotta be the quest where i get my hunter pet!’ I thought to my self. *Sergra Darkthorn* Is the title. “If you wish to walk the hunter's path, then your journey leads to the Barrens. Its beasts are strong-willed and fierce. You will learn much by hunting there, and your spirit will grow. Speak with Sergra Darkthorn. She will be your first guide in the Barrens. Sergra is at the Crossroads. To reach her, travel east from Bloodhoof Village into the Barrens, then north as the road forks. And have care as you travel--the Barrens holds great danger for the unprepared and unwary. wanted me to go all the way to the crossroads to talk to sergra darkrhorn.” So i go there. And then I do 3 follow up quests for Sergra darkthorn and I was level 11 and the mobs were level 12 & 13. I died so many times it was insane. *After 3-4 hours.* *After going for level 10* *to 11 & 1/2* I’m like; wait a minute. Non hunters are turning in quests for sergra darkthorn. And I’m level 11 & 1/2. No - it can’t be! So i fly to orgrimmar and run to the durotar village only to find that Orc had been waiting with the *’ya got tame these here pigs here a’right’* Why couldn’t the tauren hunter just have taught me bloodhoof village?! WHY!?

9. Often underrated but first aid also let's you Craft anti-venom. Many poisons in the world have nasty afflictions that last long durations anti-venom is great if you're a class that can't cleanse.

The new meta for a premade groups is to Dungeon rush through leveling in Classic. It's not like in the private servers and the multipliers are far better this time, making dungeons the best place to level. You should be aware of the aspects of the game before making statements in a video like this.

The live retail feels soo fake, I resubbed just soo I can play classic and do the early sign up. Till about after wrath did I begin to kinda dislike some things in the retail. Wod was ok but was low key a let down. I skipped legion. Been playing bfa for a week it feels hella cheap and literally no one outside of guild people the world feels empty. I can not wait for classic to come back the only down side is it will start post 1.12.

So basically, WoW Classic is like WoW, but without all the quality of life improvements. Personally, I'm nostalgic about good ol' vanilla days as much as the next guy, but man, so much in vanilla was just not convenient.

@@FelineElaj Well, the world exploration, weapon skills, talent system, actual character progression, instead of the early game content being even allowed to be PAYED TO BE SKIPPED, if you can pay to SKIP CONTENT, theres something wrong with your content. Different attributes that actually mean something, even though its not perfect balanced, an RPG is not about balance, but about, well, Role Playing. Each class having an actual role, instead of every tank being the same as all other tanks (obviously being a tank is an RPG element, but thats the point, now a days wow has RPG ELEMENTS, but doesnt feel like an RPG). In classic, each class is an actual class with an actual role, that is very different from every other class, like Paladins being alliance only, Taurens being unable to be rogues, and each race starting with weapon usage limitations, and the racials being actually relevant, EVERYTHING about WoW Vanilla is an RPG. Being able to queue to teleport to a dungeon is very... Action game stuff. You dont have to travel, you dont have to collect "magic stones to make a super boss thing whatever appear so you can open the super magic portal to the dangerous dungeon!"... Nope, now you just TP inside it and everybody is ready, and they call it quality of life, since its "quicker and easier". Everybody can get a mount by summon instead of Warlocks (and Pallies) only, fittingly for an RPG, having a special mount and only themselves having it. Everybody can fly to the dungeons now, which is "real easy!!" But its not RPG-like. You dont have the adventure of slowly walking to the dungeon. You dont Immerse yourself in a world, you just "quick match" it to hell now a days, because its not an RPG anymore. Its an action game, maybe a Hack-n-Slash. Before, you didnt have quite as good action elements, or even balance. But you did have MUCH better RPG adventure challenges, roleplay, overworld, character progression, being an actual character, having to collect each precious item, and not being spammed by epics dropping all the time, but actually feeling epic for an epic item. Like an actual RPG.
