i would love to see how it actually mounted to the tractor...

For the money this sprayer costs, the wiring design is kinda hokey. ... Recommended fix: have a dash-mounted switch to a lead at the back of the tractor. .... You can see on this X730 that the utility box on the right rear fender has a shaped opening at the rear that looks perfect to route wires through; my X739 is identical. Also, there are two unused toggle switch locations above the headlight switch on the dash of my X739. (I could not see the configuration on the X730 in the video to see if is is the same, but it likely is.) The right way to have designed the power setup would have been to run wires to a dash-mounted switch and then to the inside of the utility box where the pump wires would plug into. This same setup should support the JD powered spreader too.

Very nice job, I am thinking of getting one. Why not connect the wires to the 12 volt outlet by the tool box, installation book says you can do that then you would have a on and off switch right on the dash. again great video very helpful.

Thank you. To answer your question, not all tractors can supply the required current through that circuit. Also, running to the battery provides a dedicated circuit with a fuse. Let us know if you have additional questions with the sprayer!

Hi. Thank you for your video. Can you give any advice on pros and cons of mounted vs tow behind sprayer?
@SupTechInc4 жыл бұрын
Hi @Eric Claussen, you’re welcome! As for pros and cons, the most important factor is maneuverability. The mounted sprayers are easily able to navigate tight areas where tow behinds would be more cumbersome. Reversing is also much easier with a mounted sprayer.

The video does not show how the sprayer support assembly is joined to the click'n-go bracket. My click'n-go bracket was originally installed to hold suitcase weights and always considered the whole thing to be just a single bracket. But now I see that the piece that holds the suitcase weights must be removed from the rest of the bracket. This is not difficult, you just need to release the spring loaded pins which will then be used to fasten the sprayer to the remaining part of the bracket.

Are these installation instructions the same for an X500-series? Also at 3:55 you show a drain plug to drain any leftover contents in the tank. Page 11 of the instruction manual I downloaded from your website says there is no drain plug and to calculate the amount of solution needed to empty the tank: "NOTE: There is no drain plug provided for draining sprayer tank. When filling tank, consider the area to be sprayer and amount of solution required to complete the task."

@Gino20202 the instructions differ a bit for a X500 series as compared to an X700 series since the X700 series has a Click-n-Go. For X500 series, you will bolt two pins to the back of the tractor that hold a removable bracket. The sprayer hangs on that bracket and is also pinned into the drawbar. It’s just as easy to install and remove as a Click-n-Go. As for your other comment on page 11 about the lack of a drain plug, that appears to be an error, this sprayer does have a drain plug. Thanks for bringing the issue to our attention, we’ll correct it.

I have an X748, would I need an extension cable for the wiring or does the one included reach to the battery harness from the sprayer?
@SupTechInc4 жыл бұрын
All wiring you will need is included. You don’t have to buy an extension.

Superior Tech where can I buy one who will ship to the U.K? There not available to purchase from John Deere UK for some bizarre reason :-(
@SupTechInc4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, Superior Tech’s relationship with Deere only covers North America. Therefore, we cannot ship to the U.K.

Superior Tech don’t suppose you know of any companies who will ship to the U.K?

Unfortunately I do not, sorry.

Why dont you just plug it into the accessory plug by the glove box?
@SupTechInc5 жыл бұрын
The accessory plug in the glove box does not have enough amps.
