I finally got a pair at a 30% discount...and they blew my mind. The Peg Plus injured my foot because of the weird sole shape, the Boston 12 made me go mental with the trash upper and laces and they felt like bricks...but this shoe it's perfect, I feel like I'm even going faster than with the Vaporflies.

Glad you enjoyed it! This would be a great Mach 5 replacement if you want something a little firmer. Rebel v4 is nice if you want softer and lightweight. And Adizero sl2 is a good one if you want more cushion and versatility

Thank you dor tips . I had two shoe rotation until month ago. I am trying to increase my weekly mileage so I want to extend it to two daily trainers + workout/race. I ended with Novablast 4 as more cushioned daily, Boston 12 for workouts (probably races) and Hyperion 2/Rebel 4 as lower stack daily + some workouts.

Hi Yowana! Huge fan of the KZbin channel, I watch every single one of your videos and enjoy your analysis and value your opinion/expertise. You previously recommended Adidas Adios Pro 3. And I am in LOVE with that shoe. I want to grab them every run that I do, but want to save them for my upcoming races. A little about me, I’m a Clydesdale runner, 36 yo male, 5’9” and weighs about 235 lbs. Marathon pace is about 10:30/mi and half marathon pace is 9:45/mi. Can I ask you for your thoughts on this question: I am looking for a super trainer/mileage eater for my next marathon training block. Based on my love for the AP3, would you recommend the Skyward X? Or is there something else? I would be using this primarily for long runs.

Have you ever considered the new Diadora trainers for review? The frequenza is like a mach 6, rebel v4, peg plus competitor, it has probably the softest supercritical that’s out. The cellula is a cushion daily trainer comp to the Skyflow but has a lower stack. I feel like they’d fit in your wheelhouse.

I like shoes that are a bit firmer and Brooks has fit me well lately with their Hyperion line. I have the Brooks Hyperion 2 GTS for some faster workouts. I also use the Hyperion Max 2s for more of a daily trainer. I don't have any softer shoes or recovery shoes right now. Got my Hobby Jogger hat a few days ago! It's fire!

Thanks for the kind words! My favorite comfortable shoe right now is the Saucony hurricane 24 - it's a little heavier than the 860 but it's super bouncy, stable and supportive. Great mix of fun, protection and comfort

Yowana Again a great review! I was wondering you test so many shoe. I have like you lower cadans and more heavier on my feet. Am landing more lateral at my heel and forefoot. Some shoes have more a higher medial heel or rubber placement there. Like the Boston 12 have a higher medial heel so push you more lateral from the heel. A lateral foot flank also works that is place more foam on the lateral side of your foot. Boston 12 has this but not in the heel. Hoka Mach 6 is great for me lateral heel pattern and some what wider forefoot flank and medium stiff foam. Hyperion max 2 also not to high drop. I was wondering do you have any other recommendations on recovery, daily to tempo shoes I could try? Ceilo looks also great for my mechanisch and is not to soft so I sink lateral. This days a lot of shoes are more medial bias I found out.

I like my speed shoes non plated and non-max cushion pillowy soft so I think the peg plus will be just what I’m looking for

Is SC Pacer v2 best super shoe for running workouts on a gravel track / grass hills? Probably gonna need some durability

Yeah it's probably the best for durability + off-road capability. None of the other race shoes have as much rubber as the pacer. Endorphin pro 4 might be okay given the rubber coverage but stability might get a little sketch on the gravel and on any grass downhills. Pacer is just right for that

i read a few of the comments. Some were worth to get an answer, but did not, others were just the usual blabla from fanboys, which got recognition...... it makes me feel old, out of touch, and i thought by myself, i should run one kilometer more instead of righting anything, which most likely will not be read. With the channel growing, and the number of comments soon reaching 100, there is not enough time in a day, to read and react to all comments. So i understand, that in some form or way, a preselection has to be made....... i am not part of any gang or mafia, i just run......and i do not understand why we runners seperate ourselves from other runners, instead of include every person, who does run at least from time to time. I own all kinds of different running shoes, the heaviest almost 500 gram as one extrem, and 2 pairs of running sandals as the other extrem. I try to keep an open mind and try out every year at least one pair of shoes, which are new and/or strang to me....... edit I do my own baking since 2020, so i know how much time it takes to get it right. i got pretty emotional, when i saw all the great products, your wife made .....on a day, where you got stuff from a bakery for maybe 25 $ instead of being mindful of the so called little things and get some food to resupply ahead of time and put it in your car. I am sure, there are always leftovers or maybe even half a dozen bananas and a water melon. .......This is not a suggestion or anything negative, actually it is my way to tell you, in 50 years i have not had such a support in my running.....i got called lazy, crazy or stupid or wasting my life......
