In my opinion, Darrell Green and Deion Sanders are the two best corner backs of all time.

Champ Bailey couldn’t have had a better mentor. Being picked by the Redskins was the best thing for Bailey and helped to launch his Hall Of Fame career by a Hall Of Famer playing the opposite side. Unfortunately, Gibbs was no longer coach and Petibon was not the DC or Green/Bailey would have been the deadliest defensive backfield to pass into. Even in his 40s, Green was still just as deadly as he was in his twenties. What little bit of speed he might have lost, he made up for in experience. Darrell never lost much speed. He was still one of the fastest men in the NFL in his 40s.

DG was TWICE the Football Player Sanders was. Anybody can run a pass play or Catch a Kickoff....It's a WHOLE other issue when you're required to follow the BEST receivers in the game, and was EXPECTED to cover their ass like a BLANKET just because he's the Fastest player in the league. Speed is GREAT...but he had to have that inner influence to be able to pick up which way receivers are going to cut, stop, or TAKE off.... He was the best.

Except Ron Brown and Mike Haines who out ran Green on the field. An also there are a few others who ran faster.

@@sydboskihere we go again, he beat Ron Brown in the NFL's fastest man, Green fell down and got up chasing Haines and nearly caught him.
@sydboski Жыл бұрын
@@kevinjames8297 Yes Green beat Brown in the NFLS fastest man, but Brown had the fastest overall time. Brown also had faster track times in their common events. Brown out ran Green on the field too. Yes Green fell down got up and never made up any ground on Haines. Not debating Green being faster than Haines. He was. Greens best 100m is 10.08 Brown and Hayes 10.06 Jacoby Ford & Jeff Demps 10.01 Jim Hines 9.95 All ran faster than Green did on his best day.

Darrell wasn't a big guy....but he got the job done better than just about any other defensive back in the league. You know....back when he spent his entire career with the Washington REDSKINS....

Green was decent, but he was never a shutdown. Irving use to Moss him damn near every time. Looking at these highlights, you don't see too many INTs. Deon has the exact same highlights plus the INTs and pick 6s

Franchise record 54 interceptions (not including playoffs) coming in a separate video. Also check out my Darrell Green tackling video...you won't see one of those on Deion. Prime was great player but he was no Darrell Green. Thanks for watching & commenting. studio.kzbin.infoVP4gi4ahFGg/edit
