Bro, Mad Max was so badass. That game was damn good. I think it just went under people’s radar for a couple of reasons. One being that most people thought it was just gonna be another poorly made film tie in game, and the other being that it was overshadowed in publicity by a lot of other games the year it came out (MGSV, Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Bloodborne, Batman Arkham Knight, etc). I believe it even released on the same day as MGSV. It’s a shame that the game didn’t get much praise upon release, but I’m glad that more and more people are giving it its flowers now.

The other issue is it's insanely slow and isn't fleshed out at all Like the game doesn't even really start picking up till you're over 20h into it and go to some of the cooler fleshed out areas in the game like Gas Town and the Buzzard hideouts plus the Hope & Glory story line.

Mad Max is one of the best hidden gems out there. It just released on a very bad day. Back then MGS V released and who wouldn't want to play Kojima's latest game? If the game was released somewhere close when Fury Road was released i believe it was gonna have much more sales and recognition. That's a game that definetely needs a remaster or either a simple 60fps patch. AC: Syndicate got one after 10 year so why not this one?

It's a crime how underrated Mirror's Edge is. Granted, the story was minimalist, and the game's length was very short. But the visuals were stunning despite being so simple and still hold up well today. The parkour was also very immersive, rivalling that of Assassin's Creed. I will also defend the 2016 reimagining

I Would Add: -Ico (especially if you love Shadow of the Colossus with it’s minimal way of story-telling) -Beyond Good and Evil (underrated Ubisoft masterpiece) -Freedom Fighters (from the Devs behind Hitman games) -Star Wars: Republic Commando (THE BEST STAR WARS FIRST PERSON SHOOTER) -Anything from Onimusha franchises !!! -God Hand (another Capcom forgotten game, it’s also difficult) -Okami (beautiful art style, timeless classic) -Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (good spin-off from the game that mainly a fighting genre, the story is campy in a good-wat fun to laugh at) -Asura’s Wrath (alternative to God of War i.e. if you want to kill more gods) -The Witcher 1 & 2 (for people who only played The Witcher 3) -Dragon Age II (give it a try will ya…i know it’s not Origins…but it’s still better than Inquisition or Vanguard) -Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (from the creator behind It Takes Two, play it like 4 hours…cry for more 4 hours) -A Way Out (another great co-op games from the devs behind It Takes Two, go get your siblings, friends, partner and play together in the same couch) -Batman: The Telltale Series (maybe you only play Telltale The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us, if you want more that same style of adventure games…go get this and it’s sequel) -The Lord of the Rings: War in the North (surpringsly a good licensed games…especially if you’re the fan of the lore) -Call of Juarez series (if you think Red Dead is the only Western-themed game out there, you must try this) -Gun (Open World Red Dead games before Red Dead goes Open World…and it’s much much racist 😂) -Soma (if you want more good-scare…from the creator behind Amnesia series, i also think this is their best game) -THE WHOLE DIVINITY SERIES !!! Medal of honor warfighter was extremely underrated, overshadowed by black ops 2 and battlefield 4 respectfully but the mp and campaign were actually very fun and mp was quite competitive and guns felt really good also, if you didn't play it when the servers were still online you missed out.

Since Microsoft eventually gonna turn into Sega, I think is best if they released Sunset Overdrive to PS5 and Switch now. That for sure can revive the game back, and possibly a sequel. Sunset Overdrive has a lot of potential. Sad to see Microsoft just let this game dead

Mirror's edge was one of its kind Parkour games, with lots of different paths to explore. Really loved it, as it combines quick action with a lil bit of Gun Sh*oting. Pretty well made game, Must give it a shot. 5:32

Max Payne was a well known franchises, and Max Payne 3 wasn’t even the best in the series, Remedy developed games (1 & 2) are far superrior in terms of story, theme, style…it’s even goes into horror teritory sometimes, unlike 3 who felt like another hollywood-blockbuster-explosion-filled-shooter

Just wanna put some thoughts here since I love and have played most of the games noted on here. I gotta say the term "underrated" is used loosely here since I do think some of these games are rated somewhat fairly and according to the standard of its genre. Take for example the Saboteur, the story was lackluster, the disguise mechanic reminds me of Hitman Absolution due to how limited its usage is, and the stealth isn't designed to its full potential. However, what it could not deliver in some areas it delivers in other areas. The Paris vibe, the black and white, the destruction of vast infrastructure. That is not to say these games are not great, in fact Sleeping dogs, Mad max, while they aren't GTA they all had their own charm and I play them for hours on end. This is just to say that they offer unique experiences and should be known more, but they are far from perfect and sometimes technical ratings reflect that.

Sleeping Dogs def slept on, super fun game, cool characters and story. I'd have liked to have seen Rage 2 on here, as it's actually a super solid game like nobody knows about with super fun gunplay. Was Days Gone really slept on? I personally just didn't like the game at all, but I feel like everybody knows about that game. The Surge games are pretty good, they come off as super hard, but I felt it click at some point and it felt a lot easier after that. The Evil Within I went in expecting to love it in regards to its development roots, got bored very fast with it and dropped it. I've always liked Deus Ex, Adam Jenson is just a cool af character combined with the music and atmosphere, those games are special.

Days Gone is actually tremendously overrated. I had so much hype for it after hearing people speak so highly of it, so I started it. After 32 hours struggling with boredom I uninstalled. It makes no sense to develop a zombie-themed open world with no survival mechanics. The feeling of travelling thru America on a chopper is nowhere to be found, playability is absurdly repetitive while the open world makes the storyline become disperse, fragmented and lose all interest. A complete let-down.

I don’t think these games are underrated. Most of them are B games that borrow a lot from better franchises, and add a twist that makes them kind worth s look. The best example of that is the Guardians of the Galaxy game. It’s got a great story and is very funny, but the gameplay is pretty standard. Watchdogs is a GTA clone with an interesting antiestablishment hacker salsa poured on top. The one game that I don’t think is like that here is Returnal, but it’s also not underrated by anyone. I’ve only ever heard it spoken of with high praise. Reviews and players love it.
