25 Reasons Why Sasuke Sakura Relation Makes No Sense in Naruto

This is why Sakura to me is the most pathetic girl in the entire series. She loves a boy who never once early on showed her even a tiny bit of interest. And Sasuke in fact told her to her face before their first team meeting she was annoying. That right there should have severed any love she had for him. Not too mention he constantly rejected her attempts of hanging out together. Girl should've dropped her so called love from the first rejection onwards. Then when Sasuke left for Orochimaru he left her knocked out on a bench after she poured her heart out to him and that definitely should have made her realize loving such a boy was maybe not the best thing. Then in Shippuden during the 5 Kage summit he almost skewered her in the back with a Chidori, if Naruto hadn't saved her then Sakura would've been dead. Then later after sealing Kaguya away he jabbed her in the stomach putting her in a rinnegan powered genjutsu so she wouldn't interfere with his and Naruto's fight. All these factors should have made her give up on Sasuke altogether as a romantic partner.

FOR REAL, I always thought Sasuke would end up not marrying anyone, but I guess him marrying Sakura for the plot of Boruto is important because of Sarada.. NaruSaku always felt more canon because they had more chemistry together. I hate that the writers turned Naruto's love for her into just a “crush.” I wish the writers wrote more about Sakura and not make her entire personality about Sasuke.

And in the 4th great war when he joins Naruto and Sasuke. sasuke tells Sakura that he is sorry for everything because he knew he was no longer himself in the kage summit arc. At the end of his fight against Naruto he even tells Sakura again that he is sorry for everything. And in the end he leaves Konoha to atone for all his sins and he's happy that Sakura always believed in him that's why I love this couple. He has a lot more logic than the Naruhina couple. And the love between Sakura and Sasuke is truly explained even better in Sasuke retsuden and Naruto retsuden

I understand that we (including myself) don’t like the execution of SasuSaku, and most of the development was off screen. But in Boruto there’s nothing to be nitpicking about. It isn’t that Sasuke left Sakura & Sarada because he wanted to, he left needed to leave because there’s a threat greater than Kaguya. He’s the only one capable of doing those kinds of missions to protect the world, the same world that his wife and kid live in. His missions are top secret, only the 5 kage, Sakura, and Shikamaru know about these missions; no one else knows about it. Sakura can’t tell Sarada anything about it; just like Naruto didn’t even told his own family (wife and children) about it. So it’s not that Sasuke puts missions before his family because he wants to, it’s because he needs to. Also, Sakura never used Naruto as a boyfriend in Shippuden. You have to rewatch it if you came to that conclusion. Kishimoto clearly said that her heart fluttered whenever Naruto was around and she was confused about her feelings for him and there were moments that hinted towards Sakura moving on from Sasuke and building up feelings for Naruto. However, Kishimoto changed his mind mid series and threw all that development out of the window and reverted their relationship back to square one without any explanation. So that’s an author’s fault. Moreover, if you want to bash Sakura for loving/caring for Sasuke even when he was evil then why not bash Naruto who received a worse ordeal. Sasuke hurt Naruto more than he hurt Sakura; just counting, Sasuke tried to kill Sakura three times. Sasuke tried to kill Naruto 7 times. Even with all these attempts, Naruto and Sakura never gave up hope. Also, where does it say that Sakura puts pictures in her house to not forget how Sasuke looks like? She literally knows how Sasuke looks after a decade of not seeing him (Naruto Gaiden; Sarada’s story)

One main point to understand about Sasuke character is that even though he cares about his teammates, he is still unable to love due to the hatred that he was imposed to after the Uchiha massacre. If you have seen or read Sasuke Retsuden the SasuSaku have not only had 2min of date they have had several even before the last. For this couple you have to look where to read Sasuke retsuden.. Sasuke always had feelings for Sakura. Since the chunin exam when CM Sasuke wanted to kill the 3 sound ninja because they hurt Sakura. Sakura was able to calm down CM Sasuke by giving him a hug.. In the arc kage summit Sasuke in this arc he was no longer himself he had gone completely mad because of his MS he was completely blinded by hatred and darkness he wanted to kill everyone whether it was Naruto , Sakura and Kakashi but really everyone his eyes blinded him in shippuden Sakura's feelings have changed she just simply wants to save Sasuke from revenge and darkness because if she still cared about him it was mainly for that. And especially because she knew that Sasuke deep down he was not a bad person but quite simply a victim of the shinobi world and his tragic fate with Naruto. In the 4th great war when Sasuke arrives and there is everyone Kiba, Shino, Shikamaru, Choji, etc.. Who tell Sasuke what are you doing the dirty treats and Sakura also answers "It's true what are you doing here Sasuke..." and Sasuke turns around to look at Sakura and he tells Sakura that I'm sorry for everything.. For everything I did to you but now I have peace of mind. Except there’s one major flaw in this. The light novels were made after Shippuden ended. Most light novels are made before the manga and anime. Which is why many people including myself believe Kishimoto shoehorned it in because this wasn’t evident in the manga at all, it was told after the fact, it wasn’t foreshadowed, there were no scenes of true buildup, things felt forced, things felt left out. My point is this, if you have to make light novel to explain a relationship or feelings of the relationship after the series ended, that’s bad writing and it’s wrong. It’s the same for the “Last Movie” trying to explain the relationship after it finished. Even going as far as to say that “Naruto only loved Sakura because he wanted to compete and was jealous of Sasuke.” Which was simply untrue because Naruto throughout both Part 1 and Shippuden realize he loved Sakura a lot more than the audience realized for actual things, rather than superficial things.
