Hey from another psoriasis suffer. Had to all over. My head was the WORST. My doctor put my on Otezla first, and although it seemed like it would work, it made me so sick. He then put me on Skyrizi. Just 4 weeks into treatment, my skin is completely clear. No more patchy spots on my elbows & no more flakes from my scalp. I wish you luck.

Yes, maggots are great for cleaning wounds. But if you have a wound so severe that maggots are required to clean it, it’s probably not a good sign.

I thought that the "maggot in wound" thing was fairly common knowledge. It's a great solution for things like gangrene and necrosis because they only consume dead flesh. They are therefore very adept at clearing out everything you'd want removed in those situations while leaving everything you want to keep perfectly untouched.

@@lissakaye610 well damn! That is quite an important detail to get wrong! I didn't know that. I thought that was the entire reason why they're ever used for that purpose anymore. I'm sure that it's exceedingly for that they ARE used, but still....

Stem cells have been around (in the scientific world) for 20+ years. They just really don't want to use them. Stem cells can fix/cure the problem. But treating/prolonging the problem makes more money!

sure short term they can make money but long term? how so even when they prolonging it then even something will stop working and they will need something to actually fix the problem itself.

Hi! Stem cell research is vital, as these are cells which can take on the properties needed to cure, or mitigate the adverse effects of certain biological or hereditary abnormalities. Some of the objections to stem cell research and therapy stems from the use of aborted fetuses to obtain the necessary material to further the research.

@@randalmayeux8880yes, aborted babies are the reasons I thought the use of stem cells should be banned. However, I have since learned that stem cells can be harvested from the patient's own body. Also, why not ask pregnant women if they'd be willing to donate their babies umbilical cord for stem cell harvesting? Or do they already do that? I know that when I had my babies in the 80's they asked I wanted theirs saved in case they had a catastrophic illness later on. I did, but IDK how to access them if one or the other needed it!

Hi Mike! Maggots cleaning up a wound have been a thing for a long time now. It sounds gross, but it has saved many a life and limb from gangrene over the years. As necrosis sets in, the maggots dine on the decaying flesh, thus in the process, help to minimize the consequences of a serious infection. Yeah maggots!

The Doctors used Maggots on a wound on my left foot. they had been irradiated to prevent them from developing in to flies. These dead flesh eaters were tiny only 2-3mm long and came packaged in what looked like a Tea Bag. This Tea Bag was placed then bandaged to the wound for several days . Once removed the little guys where well feasted bad sadly dead. The wound was clean and the dead flesh devoured. Shame these maggots had to die. They caused me no pain and saved my foot.

Went to see a badly burned cousin when I was about 12, back in 1967. He was suspended in a special bed but it looked odd. I looked closer to see his entire body was covered in writhing maggots!!!! Turns out they eat the dead skin & it was the most painless manner to remove the dead flesh to prevent rotting & infection. Freaked me out big time though😮

The medicinal effect of maggots, was discovered in WWI. When soldiers sustained hip wounds, they often died due to infections. But, they once retrieved a wounded soldier, who'd been out in 'no man's land' with a severe hip wound, for several days. They discovered his wound was infested with maggots. Hence, they developed the new treatment.

Maggots, yeah they sound icky! Well they are icky! I had to deal w/ fruit fly maggots just today! {{{{SHIVER- SHUDDER}}}} HOWEVER...an oncology nurse I once worked w/ told me of a patient she once had. This was many years ago, so I may have other stories that have blended in over the years, but I know the gist of it is the truth due to how deeply it affected me to hear it! The woman's husband had cancer too, & she took care of him until he passed & ignored her needs. So after he passed, she was admitted to this nurse. She had some sort of fabric wound around her heel/ankle area. My friend began removing it to visualize the wound. And she found maggots! She flushed them off & said that it was the cleanest wound she had ever seen!! Sounds great, but IDK whether I could stand their wiggling around!! Then again wounds that bad may have lost the sense of touch.

The cloud is heavy, but weighs no more then the volume of air it displaces. The cloud consists of tiny water droplets, which are WAY denser than air, but between them is more humid air than surrounding air. Humid air is less dense than dry air because molecular weight of water = 18 while air = 29.

Yes, I definitely sound different in my head. As a teenager, I had a friend who literally make fun of my voice, which I thought was nothing like me... Until one night, hanging out with friends, I realized I was going to be late coming home for curfew so I called home and left a message on the "Answering machine"(yes, they did exist). I got home before my Mom & stepdad to hear my own message I made & yeah, that friend definitely mimicked my voice, hands down. I was 13-14 then, 40 now, but yeah, I'm a monotone talker apparently. Can help for example after defeating flesh eating bacteria when your selfhealing is dsturbed. Also fishies exist scientifically helping to clean your skin. In combination with the salt in the dead sea they can provide big releases from the symptoms of neurodermatitis and other skin problems. Also in a cosmetic way to give real deep peeling 😉
