My stepmom has an ancestor, George, who was captured by Native Americans and held prisoner in what is now Pittsburgh. Meanwhile his wife, Margaret ,with five little boys, had no idea where he was.After 2 years, she remarried. After another year, George suddenly returned. The only thing the historical record, a narrative by one of George's grandsons was that George chivalrously gave Margaret the choice of husbands. She returned to her first. George and Margaret later borne a son,Jesse. Jesse is my stepmom's 3 great grandfather. What if Margaret chose the second guy?!?!

Re: the butterfly effect Archduke Ferdinand's driver's wrong turn led to the Archduke's assassination, WW1 and WW2 and probably the Soviet Union. 1 bullet = 100+ million deaths. Good job Princip!
@jcfreak4ever12 ай бұрын
That's a cute shirt, Mike! 😊 Also, considering the butterfly effect, an example could go like this: a butterfly stirs up pollen from a flower, which causes someone to sneeze, propelling him or her backwards into the street, triggering a car driver to slam on the brakes, causing the cars behind to crash, maybe one flying into a fire hydrant, the hydrant bursting open and gushing out water, lowering the water pressure in the city's pipes, and thus the pressure in firemen's hoses as they try to put out a fire the crash caused decreases, increasing the likelihood of casualties from the blaze, and destroying city infrastructure in the process... That's just one example, though... 😅

2 butterfly effects caused an interesting love story. I didn’t go to my local high school because I got into a special academic program. My friend, we’ll call her S, moved from a city 200 miles away to the city I was living in our sophomore year. Her dad had accepted a new job. Fast forward 10 years later S dies in a car accident with her infant son and SIL. I meet her son’s godfather, T, at the funeral. Fast forward a year later T finds me on a dating website and asks me out. Had I not known T ahead of time I would have rejected him. T is now my husband. We’ve been married for over 10 years and have 2 children. Had I not gotten into that academic program and had S’s dad not taken the job my husband and I would have never met. We do on occasion make the Supernatural joke that it must have been top priority for us to fall in love.

On the subject of the air we breathe having been the same air since the dawn of time -- The same can be said for our water. All the water we drink has been around since water existed on Earth. It rains, then the water evaporates and ascends into the atmosphere, where it becomes clouds, and then rain again. Same with the water we drink. It leaves our bodies, so it eventually evaporates. So it's interesting to think that the water we're drinking was once... dinosaur pee.
