I dig this channel. I dont dress like this at all unless its a formal event; im more of a streetwear kinda guy or "peasant" as yall would call it lol. However I still love listening to you guys (Raphael, Preston, Kyle) get on camera and just talk in depth at length about getting fly. Yall be on here gettin supa fly, talking about the nuance that goes into it, like nobody else. Im big into fashion, albeit a different style entirely, but I still respect the swag, attention to detail, and overall look of it. Super genuine.

I’m sort of similar. I ski and so I have naturally accumulated a lot of quality, properly fitted, functional garments. But I also appreciate clothing that can pull double duty, so my base layers, socks etc. are usually also attractive, with subtle knits or even a nicely placed pattern. These can be worn easily in casual social settings, après-ski, or otherwise, and have the advantage of being comfortable too.

In the German dubbing of Kingsman, they actually kinda corrected their mistake. They say "Oxfords, nicht Budapester", which actually translates to "Oxfords, not Derbys". Don't think that was intentional, but still kinda interesting.

In the UK, in my experience, "business casual" just means shirt and trousers. Jacket and/or tie are optional, and you will rarely see the former. And while it doesn't include sneakers, you won't see many shiny dress shoes either; just basic, functional leather shoes.

Excellent. You covered lots of terms I wasn't 100% certain about. But you're mistaken about there being a dichotomy in Kingsman. "Oxfords, not Brogues" means, "Oxfords, but not brogued Oxfords, because that's just Bad Form". Take it from an English Gent.

Great and very insightful video Preston! But as an Irish man I will point out you're pronouncing Donegal very slightly incorrectly. It's Dony-gall. The first syllable is supposed to be said a bit slower. You're running the syllables together a bit too quickly which sounds more like "don-ih-gal" which isn't correct.

OMG is that an Otterbox Commuter phone case you're using @0:42 time of the video? I've been using OtterBox defender for over 15 years now for my iPhone, and to me OtterBox is the best choice when it comes to defending your phone from outside damage and unintended hits against the edges of walls while swinging your hand with your phone in it when passing through a narrow doors at the same time for example, which as weird and clumsy as it sounds, happens to me quite often! The thing is, most classically dressed people have told me that carrying such bulky case in combination with a classic suit couldn't look more disproportionate and that I should I rather opt for a slim unnoticeable see-through case or get rid of the case altogether, which would make my overall appearance much more sleek and high status. They say that as a slim guy like yourself, there is nothing worse I could do then wear a slim fitted suit that compliments my body shape well, while holding a "bulky brick" in my hand or next to my ear while talking on the phone. Do you believe such claims to be true? And what other options could I try in order to discover a better balance in my overall outside "classi businessman" appearance while alternatively protecting my phone on the same quality level?

In my country there's a very poor clothing terminology which leads to a lot of confusion when someone in the know talks about certain things. For example the Duffel coat is refered to as "Montgomery" because of a WWII Field Marshal that wore the piece, or others talk about "suela" which is Spanish for "sole" when refering to leather soles, which leads to some confusing lines like "belts made of sole". Oddly enough, it's not just people confusing the term, but rather that most just don't actually know the material they're talking about IS leather.

Republic of Ireland refers to the political unit, not the geographical one, like insisting on The Islamic Republic of Iran rather than just Iran, or demanding the Federal Republic of Germany rather than just Germany. Ignoring the language difference, of course.

@@Egilhelmson no…it refers to the official title of the country Comparing America to USA is acceptable because there’s no other country called after the continent on it ie Canada, Mexico However if you were to compare Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland it’s like saying DAKOTA instead of specifying the region Ie NORTH Dakota or SOUTH Dakota
