@@PigglyWigglyDeluxe Yes, on a different motor. 100 on the stock motor on 4s, 101 and 102 on 2 different motors on 3s, and 108 on 4s is my best (but it had a lot more in it).

If nothing else I didn’t need my limited speedrun time interrupted by the police figuring out the crazy lady’s intent.😏

I enjoy the testing. I found this quite relatable to my own speed runs. Trying to find the perfect gearing combo to max out the motor and reach best top speed. In relation to the rear wing and downforce, many RC speed vehicles dont have a rear wing, but youll notice they do have vertical fins on the rear to help keep the car going straight with minimal drag. Ultimately you know you could go faster with a bigger more poweful motor, but part of the fun is trying squeeze as much possible from the setup you have. Like you said though, i think theres maybe a couple of MPH left on this 3650.

I agree - I enjoy watching similar videos for sure. You do an amazing job! I have seen those vertical fins but wasn't too sure how to go about it on the Bandit. I saw a guy running over 120 with his the other night on KZbin with no rear wing or stabilizing fins! Perhaps grippier tires would help (he did have a cell phone mounted off the back of the car so he did have some extra weight back there). I agree, it is so much easier to slap a 6s power system in something to get it to go fast but hitting 100 on 3s in this car on a budget motor was a challenge and I enjoyed it! I almost have my HBX back together. Hoping to hit 70 if it is stable next time out!

@BriansRCStuff Awesome! Good luck with the HBX! Excited for that.

Another great video!!! What type of front wheels do you have on the bandit?
@BriansRCStuff28 күн бұрын
Thanks! They are some XCeed foams that I cut down using a drill to spin then and a blade to cut them down.

@BriansRCStuff ok thank you I tried to order a set it fits the bandit but can't turn the wheels due the rims being too small.

@@wolfehonda Try a set of the TRA3654 hexes. They have a wider offset and I believe that is what bought me just enough room. I cut the wheels/tires down so I could turn more without rubbing.

@@BriansRCStuff thanks I just order one of the Xceed RC 26mm Enneti 1/10 Nitro Sedan Front Tire (2) (White) (37 Shore) w/12mm Hex. But I'll check those out as well thanks for all your help!

@@wolfehonda yeah man, good luck! For what it is worth, I went with the 35 shore and they have not been wearing quickly so you might be good with the 35 or even the 32. 37 may be just fine though!

What is the world record speed for a Bandit anyway?
@BriansRCStuff28 күн бұрын
I am not really sure. I saw a guy hit like mid 130s but.... it was one of those extended wheelbase Bandits which makes it MUCH easier to go fast (still VERY impressive). I think I saw a guy up around 112 or 114 once with a standard wheelbase on a runway. I think I could get there with a little rear downforce (my 3660 motor has the power to get there on 4s) but on my 108 mph run..... I had 2 near disaster runs right before it and.... I just don't have the money sitting around to rebuild this car if I have a nasty crash so I chickened out. One day I will give it another go but this is my test mule for so many videos so I am pretty happy with it in the 90s and low 100s!

@@BriansRCStuff yeah I want to break the record for a stock chassis, I’m at 106 at the moment with a stock chassis but idk what the record is. I saw 108 on KZbin but I haven’t found video of anything faster
@BriansRCStuff28 күн бұрын
@@PigglyWigglyDeluxe the 108 was probably mine? 106 is outstanding! Do you have videos? I would love to see your setup! Edit, I see you do. I will have to check them out!
@PigglyWigglyDeluxe28 күн бұрын
@@BriansRCStuff yep I’m just waiting for some clear weather again to make another pass. It’ll pull 106 back to back without a cooldown about 3 or 4 times before it overheats and I’ve finally got some downforce so I’m gonna gear up and try again soon. I’m not so good at this KZbin thing so my videos are very primitive lol
