thank you for this one. 17 - 11:18 - seems a bit dangerous habit. AE is smart enough to not give a warning if the item is not in any composition. but if it is, it will give this warning. so this is for me a sign that this item is needed somewhere and should not be deleted. the only exception to this is if the item is inside a folder in the project window so when you try to delete the folder - it will give this warning, but if you delete the item and after that delete the folder, it won't. also "Remove Unused" in File->Dependencies will delete any items that are not in any composition. 18 - 11:46 - a good one. also there's the complementary "D" Shortcut for centering your timeline to where the CTI is. 24 - 15:31 - very useful also for the 3D orthographic views (Top, right, etc.) for orientation around a big scene. instead of scrolling back the composition in the magnification ratio popup, you could select all layers and use the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Shift+/. either that or "Look at All Layers" which has no shortcut.

Great stuff. However, the "Edit Original" doesn't load up the project when I click on it. It loads that video clip in an external video player.
@ukramedia9 жыл бұрын
+Victor DiGiovanni Was it rendered out of After Effects?
@VictorDiGiovanni9 жыл бұрын
+ukramedia Yes. I pulled a test file directly out of the AME folder. Ah. But it was rendered in Media Encoder and not directly out of AE, if that makes a difference.

I checked all the forums, spent 2 hours lookin for solution but nothing, this is my last hope. (love the videos by the way, best place to learn after effects, no needless information or wasting time)

I've been watching so many of your videos this week! This tips series has been awesome for getting up to speed quickly. After watching a bunch (but not enough as I learned more this morning that would have helped me out) I put together this animation: instagram.com/p/BRKcVFUAIpe/ - it uses expressions and live text to let me set any value in Premier, and it animates to the correct dimensions. Anyway, thanks again for the great tutorials!
