$25 Vietnamese Seafood Grill & Hotpot Buffet in Orange County's Little Saigon!

Not too long ago, I visited what I consider to be America's best Vietnamese Buffet and it certainly lived up to expectations. That was the Kim Son Buffet in Houston recommended by @DavidSriracha .
I'm currently traveling and visiting in Los Angeles and decided to visit Little Saigon; given the great suggestions I had from David, I decided to reach out and as luck would have it, he had a great recommendation here in Orange County. This is a $24 Vietnamese Seafood Buffet with grill and hotpot. Somewhat unassuming, this is 98 Shabu & Grill Buffet in Little Saigon offering up an array of seafood from the familiar shellfish, shrimp, and crabs to the exotic and adventurous with sea snails, razor clams and more. Along wit the seafoods, there were plenty of meats for your hotpot and grill.
With all the flavours and spices, a perfect way to round this meal off is the house specialty drink! A cocktail of sugarcane juice with coconut water to cut the sweetness. A great find and great value in LA's Little Saigon!

When going to a buffet! I only enjoy seafood, hot pot (should only eat a little boiled water), then add some vegetables and finally fresh fruit for dessert. I never touch rice or noodles. Because they make me feel full quickly and feel very heavy after a meal. But usually at Buffet places priced under $35, most of the seafood is not fresh, the meat is crumbly and smells of bleach.

This is the largest Litle Saigon in the World. With the largest population of Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam. You really feel like you are in Vietnam in some parts of Litttle Saigon. Absolutely worth visiting the restaurants shops and grocery stores here.

Wow, that's a big sugar cane drink, my fav! We make sauce for the snails, or salt/lemon/pepper/chili/wasabi. Mostly focus on the meat and not so much on fillers (rice/sweets/cakes/vegies...etc). There's also a lot of Vietnamese people in San Jose, California (most vietnamese outside of VN within one city). Check out the restaurants in San Jose: vietnamese, mexican, chinese, middle eastern, indian...super diverse population and quite safe. I would also pig out on buffet and fast after/before to stay with in "weekly calory intake". Working out also helps use up a lot of calories.

The sugar cane drink was really refreshing.. really great restaurants there and can't wait to visit San Jose as well. That's a good strategy with respects to buffet and light eating afterwards.. I eat pretty light when I'm at home.
