Thankyou for making this documentary - It is heart breaking. My heart is breaking. As the elder Atta Jaber says in English its not the damage to the house it is the damage to the hearts of our children (something like that). And there is Jaber and his family of peaceful Palestinian farmers including his daughter Dahlia who bravely films the destruction by the Israeli settler hoodlums and Jeff the peace activist who has become family. Atta always talks to his grandchildren- for the future hope is not stopped as he says. Only God is the owner of the land. He wants peace. I am a Jewish American and anti Zionist and anti war activist. Your work including a documentary like this is critical to our fight for justice and peace for the Palestinian people. Israel AND the US are global pariahs- Israel is doing the US’ dirty work as it has done for decades- we are ALL paying for the war crimes committed by Israel and the US.

Atta Jaber personifies the value of nonviolence taught by Jesus of Nazareth, Palestine. Few of us are as good hearted as he is. The same could be said of Jeff Halper. They are like brothers, as Jeff shares all of Atta's losses. The Israeli government is committing crimes against humanity. I don't see how their souls will survive. I believe Palestine will survive, not only because they are forever attached to the land, but because they have an unshakable faith in Allah. I am in awe of that faith. In gratitude for this film and for all who resist war and empire.

We have to take in what Atta is saying. He has been treated worse then a dog by the Israeli goverment and by the settlers, he has seen his family loose everything and yet he choose not to hate. He choose to believe in the best of humanity when he has seen and lived the worst. That is true strength, not guns or missiles but to see hate in the eyes and choosing love. Now, I don't personally believe in god or the afterlife, but I take solace in my believe that this man probably lived a happier life then much wealthier people and despite all that he lived through because he choose love. Being a native of Palestine ironically does not guarantee justice. I once heard from Indonesians living there who said that many natives are forcibly taken, killed (even when Palestinians are murdered, the perpetrators are not punished), and imprisoned (often for defending their land or due to children’s mischief). Israeli police do as they please-arresting people, demanding money, releasing them, and then imprisoning them again for any random reason. Even their currency is the shekel, and importing or purchasing products must be approved by Israeli authorities. And yet, it’s their country!
