When you read the full story, Zionism didn't sell as well, and then Herzl realised he needed a religious drawcard, and with that appraoch, Balfour gave them a portion of Palestine. Right from the start, they sent more people there than what they agreed to, they took as much land as they could in 1948- hence the name occupied Jerusalem, occupied West Bank- they occupied Palestinian land , they stole it, after killing 15 000 people and forcing 750 000 Palestinians into refugee camps. Israeli spits on Orthodox Jews, they stop Christians from going to church, whereas before they got there, Jews, Muslims and Christians lived in the same area and were peaceful and lots became friends
