$250 Honda Recon 250 (LOCKED UP)| Can it be saved?

I just bought a 2004 Foreman 450 for $500 last week that was locked up. Once I pulled the top end, the crank was free. The wrist pin had seized. I am in the process of doing a top end rebuild on it now, so I am hopeful that it will be a good running bike soon. Super clean and only 1400 miles. Nice content. I do not blame you for punting that one. I was going to do exactly the same thing if my crank was locked up!

I was given a 2000 Recon it was locked up At the crank I filled the block with diesel let it set for two days went out pulled the cord and it moved just fine so I did a top end on it

highly doubt it's a bad crank bearing on that engine. so many other factors could have that engine appearing to be "locked up"

It’s not the crank main bearings it’s the lower connecting rod bearing that’s locked up, In the vid it looks as if the rod is moving but it’s not it’s the main bearings that’s making the crank move the rod is completely seized

There’s more projects coming to the channel, planning to do a revive on a 2000 modle rm80 or xr80 that currently need rebuilds, also have a Jeep YJ rock crawler that has a 5.0 mustang engine that has been sitting for 7+ years lmk what you would like to see, thanks for watching

bought a 1999 honda recon 250 from fb market paid 50$ for it turns out it had a bad stator and carb so i swapped the motors from a 2003 one i had swapped the good piston jug and head over to the 2003 engine did a hone on it and cleaned the carb now it runs great

Those are always good deals if you get lucky seems like every one I buy that has an engine issue has a bad crank lol
