🚀 Get insider access to the tools, tips, and tricks I've honed over 15+ years helping medical students excel in the USMLE exams, thrive in med school, and secure top residency spots. Join the USMLE Times Newsletter for daily questions, content breakdowns, and strategies to overcome challenges and reach your goals faster: usmle.io
WHEN YOU'RE READY, HERE'S A FEW WAYS I CAN HELP:
1) If you're a lone wolf who prefers working quietly alone, you'll benefit most from a 1-on-1 strategy session. This will help you clarify a plan, understand the potential challenges, and give you the best chance for a smooth ride from where you are now to your dream residency program. These are done 1-on-1 with me (Dr. Paul), so space is limited. Setup your 1-on-1 strategy session here: usmleguys.com/...
2) If you're in Step 1 preparation mode, we offer a small group Step 1 program that meets daily (via Zoom) for 2hrs to cover high-yield exam details and the top 200 question concepts most likely to be tested on the exam. Learn more about how it works at usmleguys.com/...
3) MasterClasses: I've created two masterclasses based around two of the most commonly experienced challenges I've helped students overcome in the last 15+ years: Test-taking skills and How to Guarantee Success in the Residency Match. Those two masterclasses can be found at usmleguys.teac...
And of course, don't forget to sign up for the free USMLE Times Weekly Newsletter at usmle.io
What does it take to score exceptionally well on your USMLE Step 2 CK exam?

First of all THE USMLE GUYS is one of my top most go to med school channels. Not only have you improved my study habits but also been a constant guide in my USMLE STEP 1 process. The tips Dr. Paul & Dr. Stavros give in their interviews are life savers, I watch them while taking breaks, making my morning coffee etc. I love listening to them like podcasts too. My Biggest takeaway is tip 4 about gathering as much from subspecialties and basically improving microscopically to see gross differences on result. I'm glad that I got the opportunity to get important tips long before I would even begin preparing for step2 ck! Looking forward to joining your course!

Tip #2 is something that has helped me as I have studied through out med school. It's a skill that I have honed as I have worked with the USMLEGuys to study for my USMLE exams. Having a review plan/schedule in place is huge! And having it mapped out so that you know when you sit down for the day what your schedule will be has been a big boost to my confidence and motivation to continue to study during these long days.

The biggest takeway I see is how to use my time efficiently. Putting solid study hours in only helps to the bigger goal if you understand the material and are consistently reviewing it. The 1 day/week of reviewing prior content has made the biggest difference and allows me to see if I know the material and if I am retaining all the hardwork I have done on my past rotations. Also treating my shelf exams as if that is the only thing I am being evaluated on is another thing I will takeaway as the mindset really allows me to focus solely on that subject and get the most out of each rotation, both at the hospital and at home reviewing/learning the material through various resources. Thank you for the tips!

I have passed my Step 1 exam and have been preparing for Step 2CK for quite sometime. I really need more and more questions because that's the only way to build up my confidence.

As a student that just took step 1 and waiting to start clinical rotations, I really didn't know where to start with step 2ck prep. Tip 3 for me is the biggest takeaway, as it helps guide my mindset as a student entering each rotation. Understanding what information is important and what to work on remembering for examinations and future clinical practice is something we do years 1 and 2, but tips on how to fine tune that for year 3 and 4 is what helps me out the most. Thank you!

lack of confidence is preventing me from crushing the ck exam. Despite decent scores in practice tests, i constantly worry about next practice test score or score on main exam. its hard to crush the exam with underconfident mindset. inability to believe in myself makes it difficult to crush this exam somehow.

Biggest takeaway is understanding why CARS was an important part of the MCATS. It's not only understanding the case but comprehending the entire case to come to a conclusion within 40 seconds.
