I think a shadow systems set up with a radian comp and it’s recoil spring could compete and great video

Yea I don’t disagree but you do lose out on the different frame options so definitely some drawbacks. But if you didn’t care for that and just wanted performance for a little cheaper price I would go shadow systems. And thanks man! 🙏🏽

Nice video! Just subbed. Good on you for encouraging folks to recycle. Also, completely agree with you about the folks at DPM, they're good people. Funny you mention the DPM soft version paired w/the ramjet - Nightwood Guns channel said his g45 with ramjet and DPM soft version shoots softer/flatter than every staccato other than the XC. You think that could actually be true? A few other quick fire questions if you don't mind?? :) Which parts did you swap in the zev upper? Any malfunctions unrelated to ammo in your 2500 rounds? All rounds were with ramjet + DPM kit installed? Any issues with the gun finish or rusting when EDCing the zev? How does that zev trigger compare to others? Better than your apex'd g45? Better than the OEM flat M&P 2.0 trigger? You ever try the Glock Performance Trigger? I've heard of reliability issues mainly due to zev slides/barrels or when using magpul mags. Also heard of folks switching to glock OEM for the extractor and firing pin for reliability. Have you heard of or experienced any of these issues yourself? I saw in another video that you had what looks like an apex'd g45? If yes, if you threw the ramjet and DPM kit in it, how would it perform compared to the ramjet'd and DPM'd zev? The same? Or shoot, say, 80% as soft/flat? Heard you mention p365s - have you shot/do you own a sig x macro? You feel zev is drop safe and completely fine and safe to EDC? You ever heard zev may go bankrupt? I guess even if so, you could still just rely on glock gen 3 for most all the components? Lastly, you think the ramjet is worth it - can it really make the zev that much flatter than it already is? And is the noise/concussion worth it? Thank you sir

Oh I agree! I try not to say it too much and ruffle the Staccato guys but yea it absolutely does shoot a lot flatter and smoother. I have a G45 with a ramjet and DPM kit on it and it does not shoot as good as my Zev. It’s minimal but it is noticiable. I’ve owned several P365s most recently the Legion.. I’ve ALWAYS had QC issues with them. Horrible finish, rust, and the most annoying part is not being able to completely get rid of the sponginess out of the trigger. Maybe idk what I’m doing but I tried everything and i always managed to clean it up a lot just not enough relative to the amount of money spent. Yes my Zev is drop safe to edc. Can’t speak on others but as a platform I don’t see why they wouldn’t be. I did read about the Zev rumors I think they may be acquired but bankrupt? Nah lol but even then like you said Glock isn’t going anywhere.. And the ramjet is worth every penny. I bought one and after 3 weeks got 3 more.. let’s put it this way, if i had to choose between one I rather go irons and not have a expensive red dot and have the radian 😭

🤫 Same setup💯 Its a cheat code.... The dot stays put on the target at all times The slide opens and closes smooth due to the DPM The Radian ties it all together....🤫

My Zev lowers are doing great. I have around 20k thru both. Timney trigger and a light for weight. This is a great gun to learn with.

@@dariuskincaid shot the Zev today. It was impressive. I’ve been shooting 2011s and SAO pistols for the past year so switching to the striker fired was different but still shot well with it. Impressed with the recoil. Can’t wait to get that guide rod system in and run it together. Good looking.

I have 2 ZEVs one is the OZ9 Hyper Comp V1 and the other is a OZ9 they are both Compact. I would like to get the Ramjet for the OZ9 Compact model when you ordered yours I assume you ordered the Ramjet for a Glock 19 Gen 3 ? And the same for the DPM recoil spring kit, and what spring weight worked best for you I usually use 124 Grain bullets ?

Yea the gen 3 one is the one you need. As far as bullet weights 124 and the 124 +p runs great on mine. As far as the dpm springs i would run rounds thru every single one and find the one that runs the best with your gun. I’ve personally seen other friends Zevs run better with a different spring I used

I have mixed feelings on doing so much to make your 9mm flatter shooting just to make it what easier or so that you don't need to focus as much on your fundamentals so maybe you don't have that gun on you and pull a normal gun or have to use someone else's but instead you have been trying to make a 9mm feel like a 22 and in that I'm glad I practic with multiple different weapons from 19 to 19x to 43x to 48 I just ain't buying comps for everything I bet that this guy barley even shoots .

I don’t disagree with that theory but it doesn’t apply here lol I put around 500-800 rounds down range weekly. On average. Some weeks I do a little more depending on how busy I am with work. I’ve been shooting guns weekly since I got out of the Marines years ago.. I focus on making my guns “flatter” because I don’t wanna buy new guns. I have hundreds of them and yea I just wanna focus on performance now. But you’re not wrong tho some people do like to reduce the recoil to make it “easier” to shoot but for me it’s all about maximizing whatever gun I own at this point just because buying new guns just doesn’t hit the dopamine receptors like it used to but customizing and tinkering does 😂

I still don't know why this gun isn't that popular . I did a review on the hypercomp, probably my least viewed video. But when you also search for other videos you can't find a lot of them. I love my hypercomp. Best gun I've own especially after adding the timney alpha trigger. As for the frame they have the icarus like you mentioned but also the WFMMY as well but both are sold out. People buy them up like travis Scott Jordans. I painted the texture area on my fde. Also I have the PSA Sabre, zero malfunctions. Guess I'm just lucky. I did switch out the mag release for an extended one. Lastly if you get the hypercomp I recommend the V2, only complaint I have about my V1 is the slide serrations.
