Zev Technologies Oz9C

Today we're taking a look at the zev oz9c, a very unique and also expensive gun! I'll let you know my thoughts and if I think the hefty price tag is worth it!

Love my ZEV, to me it's the best gun to own; between the 1911 grip angle and weight up front makes it a well balanced and you add quality trigger, barrel, and sights all built with tight tolerance. Bonus are you able to get a high grip and trigger under cut because of the grip design which also helps with securing a better grip; which is where good shooting begins

FWIW all guns with tight tolerances need break in. Pick up a decent 1911 and it'll need a few hundred rounds to break in. It is what it is. The tighter the tolerances the longer the weapon will remain consistent in terms of fit and accuracy. That said, I normally carry a Glock because they're loose and will run until they fall apart. The 1911s and HKs I've owned are in a different class though.

@@gunpowderandprotein3444 No problem. I've been debating between one of these and a Staccato for my next purchase. I like the modularity of the Zev rail system and the 1911 grip angle, but I'm not the biggest fan of striker triggers. I'll have to find one to shoot sometime.

@@Karma28217 well if it means anything, I really did mean it when I said it's the best striker trigger I have seen. My type B has an awesome trigger as well but I would choose the zev over it. The trigger has a nice pronounced wall and a really clean break

mine did the same thing wouldnt chamber and sometimes it wouldn’t eject the shell. but it’s running better now. i’m scared to carry it cause someone told me if you have to use it to defend yourself it gets taken away for the investigation 😂 i don’t know if that’s true but i do NOT want to lose it.

how does this compare to your archon? I am torn between the two?

I just replied of the archon video but I'll clarify with a quick comparison of the two. The archon pros, excellent shooter, very accurate, extremely unique and a better price point. Cons: not optics ready and a little heavier. Less aftermarket products also even though not many are needed. Zev pros: great shooter, optics ready, awesome trigger. Cons : price is too high imo, have had a few cycling issues Hope this helps!

@@gunpowderandprotein3444 it does, I have astigmatism so optics aren’t really an option. The zev I was thinking of maybe just getting the bottom of it and throwing a custom slide and barrel on potentially with ports or a radian ramjet

I like that gun i would change a couple things does the handle come with any backstraps to maybe make a glock hump ?

I don't know if I have those with it but the grip now is kinda like a 1911 grip

Dang that's one beautiful pistol, but I wouldn't carry it for a daily. Now beside my bed might be different. I'm in the process of extensive research on a carry pistol lol. It's driving me nuts!! I'm about to say screw it and just go get a Taurus

@@gunpowderandprotein3444 yes sir amazing option that MACRO would be!! I got to grip it last week at Sportsman's Warehouse but the guy had the magazine in his hand so i wasn't very fond of the grip. Been considering a Walther PDP, another Springfield XDM but a 3.8 inch vs my 5.2, and if it comes out soon enough the MASADA SLIM!

I appreciate the no BS " this gun won't change your life" even mentioning the flaws you've seen on the internet shows your certainly not biased and not trying to win the hearts of manafacturers but the viewer!
