Other than the Quasar havig a shortened Nova-style saucer a little hard to take seriously as a descendant to the Nova-class design, but the idea of the advanced bio-neural circuitry slowly building an "understanding" of the systems a little like melding a Borg AI with the computer core. It sounds like she was designed based on; the Borg, Defiant-class, Prometheus-class, and Nova-class to make a small but dangerous vessel and wonder what a Quasar would be like if she'd been sent to the Delta Quadrant in place of the Equinox

Way back in the TNG Technical Manual, it was suggested that the then next Enterprise, E, could potentially be a Nova-class. Having seen this design of the Quasar-class now... it’d be kind of cool to see the Enterprise-H or I, in the mid-to late 25th century or early 26th century, be of this class.
@TriAngulumAudioStudios
@TriAngulumAudioStudios 19 күн бұрын
This class, though gorgeous, is FAR too small to be a flagship!

I would love it so much if they would do a Strange New World type series based on the Enterprise F. An Andorian captain, a ship that's practically a flying city and with the ability to not only seek out new life and new civilizations and do the boldly bit at transwarp velocities! Want to see how the Talaxians are doing, set course! Can transwarp allow them to go through the Great Barrier and have a look at the Galaxy from outside? Let's find out! The ideas are exceptional and worth every minute.
@defiantance
@defiantance 19 күн бұрын
I can see two problems with this class's Borg - type bioneural circuitry. 1) With each computer core more or less designing it's own pathways, this may mean that a computer core from one shup of the class may not work well in a ship of the same class. 2) With Starfleet's fear of Artificial Intelligence, would this not set off alarms in Starfleet if the computer core is deciding on its own about how to think? Just a couple of thoughts.
@TriAngulumAudioStudios
@TriAngulumAudioStudios 19 күн бұрын
Neither is a problem! First Starfleet really doesnt have anything against AI, see Data, an entire planet of Androids they are protecting, the Holodeck etc... Second, since each core adapt to it's ship means the opposite... That the core becomes better for THAT ship... Making it far better than a core that doesn't adjust! Just a few responses :P
@defiantance
@defiantance 19 күн бұрын
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios First, Zora the A.I. of the U.S.S. Discovery from Star Trek Discovery, is where my belief in A.I. fear is from. Second, would that not mean that the computer core cannot be recycled? Say, one Quasar Class ship is so badly damaged, Starfleet just scraps the whole ship. The old computer core might not work well in a new Quasar Class ship.
@defiantance
@defiantance 19 күн бұрын
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios Also, don't forget the M-5 computer from T.O.S.
@TriAngulumAudioStudios
@TriAngulumAudioStudios 19 күн бұрын
First, this is the 25th Century, not the 31st Century and beyond! So any of those issues to cause a slight issue, and it IS slight as even that Starfleet allows Zora, haven't happened yet! Second, the Core would simply adapt to its new ship, using the same procedure!

Love it love it. Although (Not trying to be rude) I've never liked how low the registries are, I get why they are like that because of the fleet yard incident but if we're talking chronological. For 2407 I'd suggest Starfleet give it a 108012 registry, maybe higher.
@TriAngulumAudioStudios
@TriAngulumAudioStudios 14 күн бұрын
Registries are not Chronological! I think that might be where your mistake is!
@masterskywalker7141
@masterskywalker7141 13 күн бұрын
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios Wasn't it supposed to be chronological? NX-01 was the first starship with warp capabilities, then came the Daedalus-class with the 100s and the registries got higher as more ships were built throughout the years. the 1701 was the first of its class with 1700 being the prototype. Most notably Discovery with some CGI models having a 5x higher registry than enterprise with NCC-2757 for example in 2256 with the Fed fleet having at least 1 or 2 Pre-Production CGI's. I just go by the book and what I see. Not trying to harsh.
@TriAngulumAudioStudios
@TriAngulumAudioStudios 13 күн бұрын
It started out as Chronological, but sometime after the NX Class that stopped... Your example of the Constitution Class is proof it's not Chronological, See USS Constellation 1017, though being the 3rd of the Class constructed! The USS Grissom is another example being 638 when the class came long after the Constitution class. So it seems to me you don't go by the book or what you see, but rather you go by what you want to see ;) As you've missed many examples through out Trek that disprove you theory, and they're all a part of the book! Other examples include Discovery 1031, even though the episode it debuted said it was a brand new class, launched a decade AFTER the Constitution Class. The White Sands 8227 even though it was a late 24th century Starship and there are MANY MANY more examples! Not trying to be harsh, merely correcting your error!
@masterskywalker7141
@masterskywalker7141 13 күн бұрын
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios Huh, registries still confused me, even more so with Nu-Trek. What I'm saying is that if it's the future you'd think that they'd watch their registries more carefully or in this case contradict some with lower registries than the lead ship of the class. Anyways thanks. I'm always waiting for new videos.
@TriAngulumAudioStudios
@TriAngulumAudioStudios 13 күн бұрын
From what canon has shown us, Registry numbers seem to fall in to number blocks... IE The Oberth Class has Number block 600 and 700 reserved for any ships constructed. The Intrepid Class has the 74600- whatever etc etc Not all numbers will be filled and some might go over in to another block. In Trek Registry numbers should be considered no more than an identification number for a specific starship... It can never be used to determine age or considered chronological. And thank you very much!
