@@latjjtal Rental by the month, +- $2,500 dollars depending on the size, by the looks of it the *backhoe & excavator* this gentleman used were small. Nine time out of ten who ever you rent them from will always give you several extra days because they can't always pick them up after 30 days. I commenting from experience I always rent by the month, and the machines I get are much bigger because of the geology, the North East is nothing but *Stone*/ Big Stone*. Cost is Minimal. God Bless.

I couldn't agree more with your statement on risk. I'm 20 years old, and own/operate a landscape construction company. Started it by myself a year ago this month. Next year this company I built will be providing for myself and my family, mother father 2 brothers and a dog. The thought of that terrifies me, but its the right choice to bring my family into this company I'm building. The enjoyment from building with my own 2 hands, creating something more, and putting everything I have on the line is worth it. I very much enjoy, and look forward to your videos, and your stories about your thoughts on life that you share here. Keep up the great work my friend!

I was a philosophy major in college (second to my business degree but my true interest) and I must say there are times in your narrations that you absolutely blow my mind with your philosophical ideas. You are so correct with how you look at the flaws in this modern world and what we should all be aiming for. I, too, hope to live a life similar to your current journey in my near future as I move to a place where I can be self employed and own a business so that I may focus my attention where my passions lie, being as close to self-sufficient and self-made as any man can claim to be. Keep doing what you're doing and know that there are many who wish you well and are taking notes for their own pilgrimage into a life worth living.

Your comments really hit home for me. I have been following for a while. Started watching your videos with my 5 year old son recently. I was generation seven in my family and last to live on the farm. In 2015 we did what most would call crazy. We sold out 3000+ SQF home in suburbia and moved full time to a small island off the coast of Honduras. Most of the world lives like you are trying to. Build with what money they have and don't get into debt over stuff they don't need. The satisfaction that comes from doing it yourself can never be found in paying someone. It may not look as nice when I do it but that never matters to me. We never know what we can do until we try.

Super insulate the shed around your tank, two layers of the rockwool or a layer of rockwool and some poly foam. Then if you still have a freezing issue just install a small no pilot RV sized propane water heater and 100# propane tank. It's not going to take much energy to keep it from freezing. Set the thermostat to say 35 degrees. The propane heater would be a lot less expensive than the cost of running electric wire or installing a solar system. Bet you would use less than a tank of propane per season.

No no no no... Dig a 100 feet of geothermal vent pipeing with a small fan to circulate. You could keep the shed at 45 degrees year round with a computer fan.

Nothing in Life is Guaranteed, not even tomorrow, that's why enjoying the journey is so important. The obstacles and challenges you overcome along the way, allow You to appreciate the end result so much more than simply writing a check and letting someone else do the job. I've spent 30+ years rescuing a 200 yr old log house, and along the way I've had people tell me I could have built a new home for less than I have invested in this one. There is not a part of this house I haven't personally touched, from the bottom of the hand dug well to the to the peak of the old metal roof. The connection I have with this place, and the people that have lived here before Me, is like that of Family. Hopefully 200 yrs from now another generation, far removed from ours, will continue the journey. Enjoy the journey Sir, it's what truly matters.

Great job you are doing on your place I. On your tank shed you may consider placing it with southern exposure in mind and do passive solar heat

There is going to come a day when you will no longer have your dog... and you will be able to look back and see just how much love 💕 your little friend had for you...always wanting to be with you and by your side. Indeed, out of all the time spent on your property you will come to see your little hitchhiker as the greatest loss of all.🐕
