The question/opinion I always receive/field is “don’t you ever regret deciding to not have children?” Now aside from the fact of that question being presumptuous and rude, my response is simple. What makes you think it was a choice? The look on their face tells me that thought never crossed their mind. I’m not usually a person prone to shock someone into reality but in this case it felt like the right thing to do.
