Milton High just won the 5A Georgia State football championship and also finished as the #2 ranked high school football team in the country! During the recordings of Nuthin’ Fancy the band was on a timeline to get the album recorded, and then they were to embark on a tour to promote their album. I’m sure that they were under a lot of pressure to get the album wrote and recorded, So during these recordings, what was the mood like in the studio? Also, wasn’t this tour the now infamous “Torture Tour” and if so, what are a couple of things that you can think of that you experienced during this tour that would have been torture or would have caused the band to call it the Torture Tour?

Hey Craig, I just mentioned to Griff about the incident where Ronnie broke a lamp with jagged glass and stuck it up to Ed King with a treat to keep his mouth shut. I remembered one episode where you touched on the subject. But forgotten the episode. Another question is were there any times the group got ripped off trying to score a drug, and were there times they got some from fans or groupies? Keep on buzzing 🎉

I have a question...I think Cathy reads these comments. Do you remember when Randall broke his ankle on stage? (i think 1992) in Maryland. 38 was opening and Don had just recently re-joined 38 Special. I was there and then the next show they were in N.C. .... he was in a cast. Do you remember that? I was told that they had to cut his boot off. What do you remember?...if you do? ..lol. I'm on a friends account, but have watched you since the start of this Pod Cast. I'm Rob. Randell is an awesome player and am I praying for him. ...Also, Ken Lyon was definitely a big part of 38 in the early days. To see him with them on you KZbin... watch 38 special at the Winterland in 1977. I love the forgotten first two albums of 38... Donnie was the full lead singer at the time... great stuff. Carlisi was on fire as usual...I have another question to ask later that is very old school. Merry Christmas to the three of you and keep on bringing out the memories as they come to you......Rob

QUESTION : Craig, you mentioned being a roadie for Rossington Collins. Where you suprised when they picked a woman, (Dale Kranz) , to be the lead singer for the band and also i beleive she was badly underrated as a singer. She seemed to have a good set of pipes back in the day, do you agree and are you still in contact with her and the girls?
