There is a couple errors in this. 1. Emily was a cat 5 storm and did not peak as a 4 2. Rita is the 4th most intense Atlantic hurricane on record not 6th and is the strongest storm to ever brace the gulf 3. Katrina is the 7th most intense storm on record not 4th 4. 4 cat 5s happened in this season not 3 5. There were 28 storms not 27 because there was a unnamed subtropical storm

True that, but at that toime, Emily was a C4. Like Andrew got reevaluated from a C4 to a C5 in 2004, Emily got reevaluated from a C4 to a C5 in 2017.

Hurricane Emily was initially classified as a category 4 hurricane, however, re-analysis upgraded it to a category 5 hurricane.

Everyone in 2020 commenting about records about to be broken, but this was released in January 2017- one of the worst hurricane seasons on record, with Harvey being more expensive than Katrina. It's wild how the benchmarks fall away over such a short amount of time

@@KorZen10 In terms of damages, 2005 was obviously more costly, the only difference 2020 has is that multiple areas were hit multiple times. I mean, look at LA, the Yucatan Peninsula, and Nicaragua.
