I think he was nervous as well. He really loves Doug and he is afraid that he is going to scare him off. He wants everything to be perfect. It is so sweet. This is also the first time he is going into a relationship feeling like he is equal and deserves to be happy. Go Ste!

This episode was fantastic. It really revealed a lot about Brendan's character, especially in his scene with Doug. Perfect writing. I can't say the same about the execution of everything, but I'm enjoying the storyline nonetheless.

Brendan was the best throughout the whole thing. Couldn't stop laughing, but I about died when I say Ste's face when he saw Ally naked. Lol, guess Ally is a shower, wink wink. I think Ste's personality in front of Doug is still balanced. BB's problem is simple: he's always controlled by the domineering/bullying side of his own self. That being said, BB will end up as a lonely old man if no one appreciating what he's done in life, unless he changes his ways.

As for dominance in a gay relationship, that is simply not true if both partners are really gay and there is really a true love between them. The "beauty" of being gay is the so-called alter-ego, there is a personality that is SO SOFT, and there's another that IS SO STRONG AND DOMINANT. A good gay relationship allow those four personalities (2 for each partner) to interplay, making the relationship so colorful. Sorry BB, your theory about dominance does not really apply to a gay relationship.

if you're a stug fan i can understand that, but try to see it from brendan's point of view: ste is the love of his life. he *killed* a man for him. he didn't feel real love before he met him, and he'll probably never feel that way about anyone else in the future. he is very controlling, possessive, obsessive and egoistic, and when someone better comes along, doing all the things right that bren himself did wrong, then of course he'll object to that and try to win ste back again.

It's sort funny, yet odd, that Doug's first thought about coming over to Ste's place is to watch a DVD ???? And Ste has his own room, so why couldn't they have "done the deed" there? it's not like Ste and Amy share a room. Roommates bring home people all the time. Maybe once Ste saw Ally's playthings (judging by his face) he sorta didn't feel any rush for playing with Doug, but preferred seeing Ally playing with his "ball"
