It's going really well. Really really well. She's an outdoor enthusiast and comes from a rural area where she grew up. She can drive a manual transmission. She shares my faith, political leanings, prioritizes her children, and even laughs at my jokes. She's absolutely out of my league in every way. The kids are doing well. My youngest will start school in the fall. My oldest is still taking a heavy equipment class and had her prom last weekend. My next oldest is considering welding. There's a lot going on. But it's good!

Nice to see You moving on with Your personal life! Maybe a re design of the grapple. To a semi circle radius face that apply pressure to center of forks. with a little beefier cross bracing at hydraulic cylinder mounting point.

Thanks! Yes, I was considering some different approaches, but I don't want to buy another cylinder right now. Also, it may be easiest to just reinforce/replace the cross bracing with a stronger piece of steel and see how that works. I think my original mount for the base of the cylinder should have been a little higher to get the angle more appropriate for clamping force.

I just bought a grapple for my L2501 Kubota. I did not get the 3rd function when I got my tractor. Foolish move on my part. I routed my hoses very much like you did. I may some time in the near future get quick connect fittings for the front so that I don’t have to undo the hoses each time I take the grapple off to use the bucket, hay spear , or forks.

Quick connects are a must. I would say they are worth the money, but they do keep getting higher...

I think we are working on firewood for 2027. It seems clearing 1/3 of an acre creates a lot of fire wood.
