Haolonggood is a company that keeps surprising us with genera we have been asking for, time and again. This time, they’ve turned their attention to Megaraptor, which lends its name to the megaraptoran group.

I think if you know how to paint, it would certainly be a very good sculpt to work from! To my knowledge no major company has produced a megaraptorid yet!

Megaraptor is my favorite dinosaur in fact, so seeing a lovely little accurate model makes me incredibly happy! The Mattel Megaraptor which I have pales in comparison to this one!

Mattel has never been too interested in depicting accurate dinosaurs. If you prefer that aesthetic, I think you will definitely be quite pleased with this. Megaraptor however has been a bit of a jigsaw puzzle, so new discoveries may make this less accurate 😊

@@DinosDragons Oh, I don't mind their aesthetic. I just prefer accurate Megaraptors over inaccurate ones. I like both variants though, I'm not too picky.

I like this but the white streaks are not necessary and ruin the paint job….actually, I’d probably do a repaint but, without the jarring white streaks, this is not too bad.

The sad thing is that there _are_ areas for which the white streaks actually blend very nicely. But in most others, you can see for yourself. If you can repaint it the way you want of course, that would be ideal!

For so long, we collectors have longed for a Megaraptor, and look who has granted our wish. It's none other than Haolonggood. And unarguably the best Megaraptor figure out there. I think this is the first-ever well-depicted Megaraptor. So a huge thank you goes out to Haolonggood. I had a feeling that PNSO would release 'Maip macrothorax' (and I still do), but Haolonggood steps up and delivers these two beauties. I'm glad to see that you've bought both variants this time. Because they both look so elegant. But for me, those strips don't fit well with the figure. They look so unnatural. But the overall quality of the figure stays the same. Even though you say you don't know much about megaraptorans, I learned some new things by watching this video. So thank you so much, as always, for sharing your knowledge with us. Wow thank you for your kind words as always! I have to admit that doing reviews have forced me to up my knowledge of theropods, though I still don't really care for them as much as I do other clades, especially the sauropods! Still, the more I read, the more fascinating the megaraptorans seem. Previously, it was always CollectA who was first with new dinosaurs. I'm surprised they haven't really surprised us much. Then PNSO was the one that gave us all kinds of variety, but that was a glorious two years ago. And now it looks like HLG is the one to step up to the plate. It's the circle of life one might say 🤣

La calidad de ciertos detalles en su modelado, pese a ser una pieza tan pequeña, son muy buenos. Y el punto más interesante es la estabilidad de la pieza, incluso en el momento que le diste un pequeño golpe durante el vídeo, la figura no cayó. Y el cierre de la articulación es fino, lástima que el material sea "débil". Es todo un gusto verte tan activo, amigo 😊

¡Definitivamente! Lo triste es que, en algunas partes, el blanco realmente está bastante bien mezclado. Sin embargo, hay muchas vetas en las que está bastante mal aplicado. De lo contrario, ¡se vería muy bien! Sin embargo, en general, ¡es una buena primera representación de este dinosaurio tan interesante!

Based on the skeleton I must say that it goes from looking very exciting to a more boring carnivore when it comes to appearance. There were so much room here for experimenting and make something more appealing. They also got a worse paintjob than the Dilophosaurus pair.

I really prefer the brown But I’ve always seen Megaraptor as being green and I don’t want any more brown figures in my collection there’s too many from pnso

I think it's the way it was painted on without as much consistent subtlety that makes it a bit jarring. Just another wash would have made it really nice I thought!

Hard to say. I mean, you can see where it is a lot more subtle with an added layer and actually looks pretty good. It's the lack of consistency that is puzzling!

I think that finally, after wondering every year when it will happen, I have my answer. Next year is the year I finally go bankrupt! 😂😂 Seriously, it's hard to tell how accurate the silhouettes are though, so I will wait to see the real thing. Size-wide, I'm super excited!!

Era un dinosaurio muy esperado y Haolonggood nos dio por fin el placer de tenerlo 😁 Yo prefiero el Megaraptor verde, pero sí se me hacen las líneas blancas un agregado extraño 🤔Yo preferiría un trabajo de pintura más enfocado en diferentes colores difuminados 🤓 Pero me gusta este Megaraptor! 😊

Esas líneas onduladas son realmente un rompecabezas. ¡HLG sigue incorporando muchos de sus modelos incluso si ya eran lo suficientemente buenos para empezar! Con suerte, esto es algo que mejorarán o dejarán de hacerlo por completo.
