Thanks Scott, the hard work that you put into these tests always shines through 👍

Thanks Scott. Going to stick with CarPro and Gyeon. Trusted brands.

Used Nanobond on my garaged black Mini Cooper, topped with 3D Bead It Up occasionally, and still beads soap/foam after 8 months. I reckon given the conditions it'll last a few years.

Scott, I am really glad that you did this test on cheap products. You make a great point about inconstancy from batch to batch in this price range. The reason for using any product is to protect your vehicle from UV radiation and all the other things, (bird poop/chemicals/etc...) attaching it's paint. My other big concern when you get into this low of a price point and a Chinese company backing the product, is it actually formulated to really protect the paint more that what a hydrophobic test that you are doing is going to show??? For me I will pay a little more to be safe, but again I think it's great to have you testing these for all of us to see the results!

Yes I agree with these Chinese coatings are pretty impressive I believe the next time I do put ceramic coating on I’m definitely going to try the Chinese coding over the high price namebrand thanks again for these great videos

On my 4th bottle. It’s legit. Edited to clarify that it’s not to replenish my own cars, but to install on others. Stuff is bulletproof.

@@snail415 how go applying it?
@snail4152 жыл бұрын
@@richardfox3924 It’s great. Pretend it will flash right after laying it down and use the provided cloth to level it down. Work in the standard 2’x2’ box, and do two coats on one panel before moving to the next panel…if you can. I don’t wait to apply the second coat; it’s more to ensure consistent coverage. Stay in shade/indoors, but ensure you have ventilation. It certainly smells like toxic fish, and you don’t wanna inhale it more than necessary. All that said, it’s a very good experience. The look is of glass, and the hydrophobic properties are nuts.

TBH for me if the product does not perform at least 50% as the first application with this tests, i consider it failed there is no way i let the coating sit on my car like that.

Don't know why but nanoage is better than nanobond for some reason

I wonder if any of these products can increase their durability by top coating with cheap spray-on's (turtle wax, etc.), or if the spray products degrade the underlying ceramic coating?
@snail4152 жыл бұрын
In my experience they don’t degrade or diminish a coating. Granted a coating serves its own purpose, but anything on top should IMHO be for cosmetic purposes. I’ve tried Collinite 915 on top of a coating for the hell of it, and it certainly added depth. The coating did the ‘filling’ if there was anything to fill, and the wax added a bit of glow. But in reality a coating is more than enough protection and shine…if your polishing is on-point.

The link for nanoage does not go to the proper product, goes to greyghost.
