@Elmo91410 жыл бұрын
I agree to put it simple it actually grasped a possible reality in our world turning into a apocalyptic wasteland through infection. It shows how defenseless we humans are when it comes to viral outbreaks in our cities. The havoc that would follow and the destruction of our infrastructure. The movie captured that wonderfully.
@WarbanderLasty10 жыл бұрын
TrollfestMaghee due to our medicine dependence most of us have lost our natural immunity to a lot of things, for example if an old epidemic like small pox were to break out again, but this time a little bit evolved , most of us would not be abble to counter it. this is not proven, this is just my understanding, someone correct me if i am wrong
@Elmo91410 жыл бұрын
iwanticecream I don't think you know anything about biological terrorism or the fact that the U.S govt is extreme ill prepared to handle nationwide blackouts. We're talking about zombie like infected not the fucking flu. You're telling me if an infected outbreak happened in NYC that the U.S Govt has the logistical capability to seal the city off within 24 hours? Have you ever served in the U.S military? Sealing off 9 million people who are rioting. rampaging, trying to escape is no easy ordeal. The world has dealt with controlled cases where people weren't going crazy but what if the people didn't stay calm and started evacuating at numbers that the military can't contain. Through a blackout? When you take some time to think about the variables of the possibility you'll grasp knowledge.

iwanticecream No need to curse, to be honest, we humans can't do much against stronger (synthetic?) virusses. And the goverment wouldn't lose control over the disease, perhaps. It would lose control over their people, Riots, killing, raids you name it. Let's say we assume that we're dealing with a "sleeper" type virus, by the time patient zero knows he/she is "infected" he/she will have come into contact with countless other people. Who themselves have come into contact with countless people, and so on. When h1n1 was noticed by the center for disease control and prevention (CDC) did shut down flights. Still the outbreak wasn't "stopped" until May 2010 (h1n1 began in April 2009) Luckely h1n1 was a mixture of known flu's as such we were able to make vaccines. Humans are not defenseless or stupid. But things out of our hands (at one point) are very hard to get control of. The world is lucky that bio terrorism is forbidden. But one day someone's gonna cross that line, and it's not gonna look pretty. (additional notes) recent developments: On 26 April 2011, an H1N1 pandemic preparedness alert was issued by the World Health Organization for the Americas. In May 2013, seventeen people died during an H1N1 outbreak in Venezuela, and a further 250 were infected. As of early January 2014, Texas health officials have confirmed at least thirty-three H1N1 deaths and widespread outbreak during the 2013/2014 flu season, while twenty-one more deaths have been reported across the US. Nine people have been reported dead from an outbreak in several Canadian cities, and Mexico reports outbreaks resulting in at least one death.Spanish health authorities have confirmed 35 H1N1 cases in the Aragon region, 18 of whom are in intensive care On March 17, 2014, three cases were confirmed with a possible fourth awaiting results occurring at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. According to the U.S. Geological Survey and the CDC, northern sea otters, off the coast of Washington state, are infected with the H1N1 flu virus and "may be a newly identified animal host of influenza viruses".

I like how that tune reflects perfectly the problem it represents. It starts with one single instrument in a one note per strike melody, signaling how little of a problem it begun with, then another instrument, in the same one note per strike format joins signaling the problem is getting bigger. But you can still somewhat ignore it. Then a third instrument joins in, and the initial instrument adds a second note making it now a more complex melody, signaling that the problem is getting bigger and harder to ignore. Then after a brief pause, a new instrument joins, while the others mute. Despite this it is much louder than the others signaling the problem has grown in severity. Then the priorly muted instruments join back in, the problem impossible to ignore and harder to contain. Then another instrument joins: this one with a lower note signaling how not only the problem is getting bigger, but the options to solve it are growing scarce, the means to fight it dwindling in amount and quality. The melody then turns a bit calmer but with other instruments, that's a change of perspective. The calm before the storm for some that are unaware of the problem. Then all the instruments and some we didn't hear come up. The inevitability of hell. Then all of a sudden the tune silences in some primordial tones. The life as we know it has disappeared.

The terrifying thing is the thought of being alone, having to fight to survive by yourself as the only human left in the world. You're going to die eventually because they're all looking for you. You need food, a good source of water, and rest which will be hard to come by. There will be 6,999,999,999 people trying to hunt you down and fucking eat you. Tbh most people would just go fucking insane and probably commit suicide so that the zombies cant kill them.

and it won't matter who or what it's gonna be, it could be a vampire, a zombie, a "rager" , or even in my concept and mind, a werefox(es) who got transformed and can't change back, they're going to try and bite you and if that happens, 2 possibilities are presented, one, you get infected and transformed into these creatures of they successfully kill you and they eat you.

They shut down my country (Austria) about 3 days ago with basically no social life anymore. After closing every border, they closed the last open border - the one to Germany - 2 hours ago. Today 12 o clock a.m. they put out a quarantine warning for our whole state (Tirol), which makes it impossible for anyone to even leave your city. The streets are deserted since 10 days, only a few people go out, and IF only to the supermarket or to work (maybe 5% is still working). It is unreal, sometimes i forget about the drama for a few minutes, and when it gets back into my head, that REAL LIFE is like a movie right now - you cant describe that strange feeling. Stay strong everybody, and prepare for what is coming - it wont be the same again after it.

I can’t help but not hate Don for what abandoning his wife and the kid. I mean not everyone has that hero vibe inside them, especially against mindless infected like these ones right outside the door. I love the realistic approach that he cowardly ran away because the only thing going through his head was surviving. And it broke him tremendously. Plus let’s not forget the awesome scene that came with him running away.

Oh god, thank you so much for this. I remember the first time I heard the theme in theaters like 15 years ago and my friend and I just looked at each other like, "OH. MY. GOD." - this was the first time I had heard true doom in music, a true crescendo that builds throughout the entire song and just makes you grip your arm rests and clench your teeth - and this is now the kind of music we try to write. Amazing how the whole song is basically 4 notes over and over but it doesn't get boring, only intensifies. A true testament to the power of music. John Murphy is a genius. Also, best zombie films EVER. We need a 28 MONTHS later. And even a 28 YEARS later. ;) This song still gave me chills in the second film, and I'm sure it would still be just as amazing and iconic in the third and fourth films too ;)

This movie franchise has literally a lot of potential. Sure the number of '28' perhaps limits the set timing but. All the films they could come up with show a lot of themes! Like they could make... 28 Seconds later 28 Minutes later 28 Months Later 28 Years later It's optional that this could follow after the crew of either the first or second movie or have a completely brand new crew entirely. Or it's optional that the '28' seconds film is right after the first infection? Who wants to see this all become a thing?

The thing about the 28 series is they're more than just horror or thrillers. They are actually VERY disturbing. The second one more than the first. It isn't just the violence, gore or jump scares. It's really how the plot unfolds and how you are sucked in mentally into the movie. I don't even wanna think what would happen if the rage was unleashed in real life.
