@@arnodk2852 if you're going to comment present the whole facts. The British had lost 22,000 dead to the Boars, they had lost 6,000 due to guerilla tactics, triggering the scorched earth policy which was a common accepted thing back then. This lead to the 'concentration camps' which today would be called refugee camps, not the ones the gemans used.

The boots poem recording is used in navy seal SERE training (survival, evasion, resistance, escape) and POW simulations where seals are apparently sensory deprived and are made to do and enact and experience certain things as a captured soldier. Apparently this recording is played on a loop for 18+ hours and is meant to break them. It’s also used in other armed forces training. 😮😮

Was honestly wondering where their reaction to this was. Glad to see it. The specific recording also used my American special forces in their SERE training as a way to try to break recruits by playing it over and over for days and days while the recruit is sleep deprived ect. Apparently its highly effective. I am surprised the movie only had a $75 mil budget - it deserved more but perhaps it does not need it? We will see. Also beware that Sony is releasing this - they like to cut out as much gore as possible to lower their rating (they have done this soo many times).

So the sound is a dramatic reading (early 1900s actor/voice actor Taylor Homes) of a Kipling poem from 1915 called "boots". It's actually used in S.E.R.E training for Navy SEALS. Apparently, they stick them in a small cell and play this exact recording over and over. This was one of the best trailers I've ever seen. Sooooo physically unsettling.

Watching it with you made me realise something. On the Wall, someone has added the name Jimmy to the phrase 'behold he is coming in the clouds'. At the beginning, with the kids, she calls one of them 'Jimmy'. My take. The kid survives and becomes a cult leader. He may even be the Ralph Fiennes character. The story: A group of survivors on the island venture out only to run into a cult of other survivors lead by Jimmy. For some reason, they want the young boy (I think the scene with all the people in the hall and the young boy may be the cult having captured the boy). The father not only has the battle zombies but also the cult.

The key piece of audio in the trailer is a spoken-word reading of the of the Rudyard Kipling poem “Boots” by American actor Taylor Holmes from 1915. The poem imagines the thoughts of a British Army infantryman stationed in South Africa during the Second Boer War between the British Empire and the Boer republics over influence in Southern Africa. Because the infantrymen have no clear campaign they are made to march across the region, and the speaker is slowly going mad from days of seeing nothing by his boots and the boots of nearby soldiers in line marching up and down without end. The marching continues through all the tolls of warfare, but the men cannot rest or stop and there’s no escape from the cycle of horror, as “there’s no discharge in the war!” The numbers counted off represent the stretches of miles the men have been made to march (“Four-eleven-seventeen-thirty-two-the day before…”) and Kipling snuck in the Easter egg of timing the lines to the cadence of actual infantry marches.

Hi guys I am Italian and I must say that , after the genres Science Fiction and Action .... the Horror genre (film or TV series) is a genre that I watch.. So let's remember that the creator of this film genre was George A. Romero.. and that in all of Romero's films the Zombies walk "very slowly" as well as very badly but importantly "they never run".. You see them walking.. even moving quickly in fits and starts but they never run.. Unfortunately there are directors who think they can make a "zombie film" as if the zombies were Olympic athletes.. That's completely wrong.. There have been , among the various films , two films based on video games about zombies : House of the Dead , this first is a horrible film because you don't understand anything ( rave party on an island and then the chaos of the zombies breaks out that you don't even understand how it started..) .... and the other is Resident Evil , based on a console video-game by Capcom.. That is a realistic movie.. Directed by Paul W. Anderson ( the director who also produced Alien Vs Predator.. ) and a fantastic saga came out of it 6 movies ( I have them all ) in the first movie it is explained how the T-Virus and the Anti-Virus are produced in the Umbrella Corp. laboratory.. It is shown how the apocalypse is born with the accident caused by the breakage of a vial of T-Virus.. The zombies in the first and second movie "move slowly" as George A. Romero wants. And in the third movie "Extinction" it is shown that by doing experiments on zombies they mutate and then you see them run (and also mutate with those things that come out of their mouths). In the first two movies you also see the Lickers and in the third you see a Tyrant, creatures from the game.. Fantastic saga.. So i think is important in a horror zombie movie 1) show how the accident/ infection started and 2) zombies must move/ walk very slowly ( only if there is an "experiment on zombies" as in Resident Evil 3 : Extintion everyone can see that " mutation " and most important only after that the zombies start running as olympic athets.. The best Zombie TV series that in my opinion is very well done is The Walking Dead , very very well done TV Series.., where in the second episode you see exactly how the group of survivors arrives in a laboratory where it is explained how the epidemic happened.. You always have to explain how the epidemic is born.. the apocalypse is more important "zombies don't run".. For example that "Army of the Dead" is made very bad.. Hi from italy.., from centre north.... Verona province.. hi from Alex..
