CHERYL! Once again, you break my heart. *hugs you*. And how amazing is Emmett's acting?! Poor Brendan is terrified to be honest with Cheryl about his thoughts on Sampson being responsible. He knows that will be the last straw and he will lose her forever too. Unfortunately, it will come out and she will blast him, and Bren will take it because he feels utterly to blame. Bring your tissues for a few weeks. :(

Riley taking Bren and Chez into his home --even though he can't stand Brendan-- was the most decent thing to do. I really loved that. That's how it should be: when a person is loved by different kinds of people... after that person dies...those differences shouldn't even matter. After all these years, Mercedes has finally managed to annoy me like crazy! I hope she gets what she deserves...

This was the one death I'll never forgive the Hollyoaks storyliners for. Lynsey could easily have been a throwaway character. Or a character who was just there for decoration. Instead, she was independent, strong, funny, well-written and very well-portrayed by Karan Hassan. At the time, I remember it feeling like such a waste after all the character had gone through, and survived, the year before. Fantastic acting by every cast member in this episode, but Bronagh Waugh stole it. 6:02 is heartbreaking.

I've seen BB storyline in a weekend in March 2012 - I know, I'm an idiot - and I can tell the same: he's too complex to explain him in a few comment or even watching him in Slug episodes. His character has depth and bright, loveable and mostly vulnerable sides, his so damaged and hurt, and still has so much love for some people. One of the most well-written characters in soapland, I think, with so many layers.

I'm the same in so many ways! With the moustache too. When I first saw it, I was just 'Oh dear God, who on Earth has moustache under 60 in 2012?! Terrible, really!', and now I'm in love :) Emmett is a god as an actor, and Brendan is a great character, so it's an amazing role. God, I like him.

I can see how I might miss a video, but missing the ending of one is totally weird. Of the 6 suspects: 1 & 2-Ally & Walker didn't like Lynsey's snooping. 3-Mecedes because Lynsey found that picture. 4-Silas because he likes killing people? 5-Doctor who fancies Mercedes. 6-Sampson (Don't know him. He & "Danny" kidnapped Joel?) Story & acting A+ Thanks

mercedes totally did it. when lyndsey was pronounced dead she was looking around when she was crying and also their last convo wasnt exactly a friendly one. not only that, when she was talking to riley about her losing all her friends she was obviously trying to gain sympathy from him...there is just too many reasons why to think mercedes did it. of course the writers might just be yanking our chain to try to think it is mercedes and just throw in a huge suprise in the end...idk haha :) lovin it

How people can say he can't act is totally beyond me.... Because she was snooping in his business and trying to find out the connection between him and Walker. Whatever his secret is, he seems to be willing to go through any length to keep it under wraps. He's just lied to the police, and seems to care more about Amy finding out about the strip club than Lynsey's death. More than a little suspicious to me.

I can believe, if someone doesn't know as much about a character as she can, it's natural to think less or worse than the whole truth. I understand and respect it, of course. Usually I don't cry over TV show, but honestly I cried so many times on that one since yesterday. Brendan and Cheryl are heartbreaking. At this very moment I forgive Doug to cry, too, they were so close. I don't think Ally is the murderer, but he's guilty in some way, but I can't even imagine how. He's so... unimpressive, or I don't know, I can hardly imagine him as someone to be affraid of. Oh how much I loved Stendan hug! I found Steven strong, stronger than with the whole scam-thing. Perfect.

i think it was probably samson because at the beginning of the episode where brendan found lyndsey dead on the couch, he was standing on the bridge looking over the village where they spotted lyndsey and joel. They kidnapped joel. this was a distraction while the robbed brendans bar. then when brendan found out hid bar was robbed , this was another distraction while he killed lyndsey. brendan and joel seem sure that it was him. also he is the only suspect who wasnt around in this episode.

The "joy to watch" wasn't directed at you specifically. I was actually referring to @DemeterMedi 's statement that "it's a joy to follow." I know several people who found it difficult at times but were determined to watch every episode. So "joy to watch" and "unwatchable" are just the extremes. I think of the show primarily as entertainment. So why watch episodes that are VERY difficult?

Mercedes wasn't strong enough to strangle Lynsey. She was just released--early--from the hospital for a stabbing (albeit self-inflicted). Lynsey would know to hit her in the side to get free. To kill someone, it would have to be an act of passion in the spur of the moment, or a psychotic mind. As nutty and selfish as Mercy is, she's not a killer. That doctor however, is creepy beyond belief. My money is on him.

I think it was Mercedes because she knows what Silas was like so I think she is a copycat killer and her tears seemed fake and when Riley said Brendan and Cheryl were gonna stay she became defensive but Will's camera might have something and that copper should of got the sack they have no chance of finding her killer if she's on the case

One really doesn't need to have a Ph.D. in Hollyoaks to see that Brendan is a sociopath. Of course, Brendan's character is multidimensional, and to fully appreciate his character one should watch every episode. Fortunately or unfortunately, I can't watch one person physically abusing another on the basis of how brilliant the script and the acting are. Perhaps that's my loss. At least, I have no delusions that any of the other people in the show are angels. Thanks.

I absolutely agree with you, I can't tell how much I do. The only thing for I am not upset about this whole thing right now is maybe this twists will make good effections, maybe in longer term. I don't mind if Ste finds this kind of love for a while - maybe he needs this experience, and maybe he needs some therapy after Brendan's affair, I could imagine. I find Walker a great pairing for Brendan to learn a lot, and for us to have amazing scenes with these two gorgeous men :)

This is suppose to be set up as a who dunnit but Mercedes, the doctor, Ally and Walker were pretty much accounted for. That just leaves Silas and those thugs that have a grudge against Brendan. And it seems the thugs just wanted money since they didn't kill Joel.

I'm glad you follow the show and you have every right to ship stug but sometimes people come across stug and label brendan just as the bad boy of the situation and stendan relationship just an abusive relationship while there is so much more to it. then they don't have a clue about characters and their personality (including ste and doug's) but feel free to judge everything about them and that made me laugh tbh so maybe a rewatch in some cases it is needed imo

Trust me, there' not much I can't imagine between Brendan and Walker, and there's not much I don't want to :) I do love them. Even seperately and especially together. I don't know what I really want with the characters in a longer time, just enjoy the ride moslty But to be honest I enjoy Bralker much more then the sweet couple. Maybe I'm not really a good person. All I need is more tension, chemistry and drama, enough of boring days - but what I see now, is truely perfect from my point of view.

I don't think it was Sampson, first because the police said it's seems to be someone Lynsey knew well, and second because it would be easier to Brendan :) I don't think he could forgive himself if Sampson have murdered Lynsey. Mercedes seems guilty, but I'm not sure... Maybe just because she's relieved now, and she knows she can't show it. Or maybe more. The doctor's eyes was so meaningful looking at her! He's not sure it wasn't Mercedes.

Hollyoaks is doing great work again, they were losing me for a while there. Glad they got their s*** together and writing some good story lines. I am on the edge of my set to find out who the killer is, have not been this into the show since everybody was trying to figure out who Silas was going to kill next.

thats because you only watch brendan scenes I assume. after the landlord thing, mitzee was found guilty of stabbing mercedes but she didn't, mercedes stabbed herself to make mitzee look guilty and then they showed sampson at the end of the episode. the next episode, sampson kidnapped joel and then made brendan went for him and hen they stole brendan money and then brendan went to the flat and found lynsey dead. no on knows who did it, there are 6 suspects who would want lynsey out of the way.

Thanks. I saw some episodes when Ste & Brendan first started. Of course, Brendan was emotionally manipulative & sadistic from the beginning. I couldn't stomach it. I left before the physical abuse even started. I've watched all the uploads from about 2 or 3 months ago to present and am beginning to appreciate the complexities of Brendan's character. Walker reappeared during those 2-3 months. Joel was stabbed before that. I'll never subject myself to watching Brendan physically abuse Ste.

I understand, that two (and a half) years is too much for rewatch - though it's a joy to follow, okay, I'm a fun - but thinking Brendan is just an abuser and a villain is less than half of the truth. He's much more, and he's much more for Ste, either. So though I will miss Lynsey, the best detective of the village, it was a great pleasure for the HO story to have this murder. It will escalate the tensions, rewrite the stories, show new sides of faces. Or older ones :)

Ive watched Hollyoaks for years Ive seen Dougs arrival and the whole BB storyline(s) and I love Brendan but Stug is MY favourite and Doug stuck with Lynsey through the Silas situation and she helped him come out so yeah he wont be as sad as Cheyrl and BB but he has a right. Everythings Doug did with BB to do with the deli was for Ste so give him a break ok rant over lol oh and Joels hot!
