No it's not wild at all, it's tucked away on a very unassuming street in unincorporated Naperville. Even when you turn onto the street, you won't see it until you're well down the block. My buddy lived directly across the court from this monstrosity when they were building it. I've got some awesome stories about the guy who built it.However since none of them were ever verified I'd never repeat any of it on the internet. LOLOL He sold it not too long after he finished it. It's impressive as heck, but TBH, IMHO it's built in a really odd area. I picture homes like this on Donwood in Naperville and that super fancy section up near Bailey Rd. I built a 6300 sq foot home in Naperville and my house was one of the smaller ones in the area. After 10 years of living in that snobatorium neighborhood, we boogiedright on outta there. This mansion in the video is in a part of Naperville where the people are much more down to earth and "normal" IMO. After building 2 brand new nice homes in Naperville over the span of 25 years I can't explain how good it felt to get outta that town. It went from being amazingly awesome to like living in Chicago during that span of time. Over crowded, way too many big talkers and wound tight weirdos now. Since we left, I refuse to ever go back there again. I loved my first 20 years there, the last 5 were a living nightmare. Too many Buffy and Biffs who talk a big game every minute their mouths are moving. LOLOLOL I heard the dude that bought this mansion is a very successful businessman and a pretty solid dude. It's well worth driving by just to see the scale of it. The footprint is massive. The guy who built it didn't miss a trick. Just one opinion, and if you live in Naperville, don't be offended. We raised our family there and the schools are superb.

Pools in Naperville are a curse I swear. I put a nice built in pool in the backyard of the first home I built in Naperville in 1983. When the time came to sell it, 9 out of the first 10 buyers were practically doing cartwheels they loved the house so much. The second they saw the built in pool, they were outta dodge as fast as I've ever seen. The backyard was professionally landscaped and felt more like an upscale resort than a residential backyard. I was shocked at what a huge liability that dang pool was going to be when it came time to sell the house. Now you know. BTW, I had a gorgeous 6 foot hand built cedar fence around the entire backyard and then a separate 4 foot fence (Green vinyl coated chain link around the pool and concrete decks with a great locking gate) We had little ones at the time and never took their safety for granted. New rule, if you live in midwest, do not put a pool in unless it's indoors. LOL

My last house in Naperville which I sold 14 years ago was 6300 sq feet on 1/2 an acre with a creek running through the back. The taxes on it when I sold were not quite 16K. The house has doubled in value, minimum since I left and last I checked the taxes are still well under 20K. My house was about 6 minutes or less by car from this mansion.

It’s a suburb of Chicago, appx 40 min from Chicago. It’s in DuPage county, a very prominent, Christian, community. Naperville is particularly large and this area is very rural like, lots of new developments. School system is great, mostly middle to upper class families. lots of shopping in this area.

It’s honestly really nice, perfect for families, schools systems are amazing, every type of cuisine you can imagine, beautiful downtown area and awesome nature preserves. Downsides, taxes are really high and it’s cold in the winter.
