I lived in 29 Palms alone for a year . Almost froze to death . And got to see the big sky for the first time. I love the desert. I love 29 Palms. I saw beautiful things and cry because my heart longs for this sacred place. The air detoxifies me ...I live in Wilmington CA next to oil refineries....I would do anything to have a place

Yep, pretty interesting area The National Park is right there Beautiful a Main enterance at 29 palms another at Yucca Valley (to the Park) town has tourism of cource there is a Marine base there as well. The San Gorgonia Tramway isnt that close though 40 miles? Palm Springs is close to the tramway . I spent about 6 monthes living there and commuting home on weekends, had to stay in motel but not bad out there worked on the base . definate possibilitys and away from big city yet few hours or less away
