Today we are continuing our ‪@SummitRacing‬ sponsored Ford Windsor 302 tutorial build with part 10 consisting of putting on our throttle body, ignition coil and rear main seal. All of these are vital and really easy to do with the right know how which, is in this video. For a fuel air solution we are going with the Summit Racing branded fuel injection all in one it is an amazing system to simplify and add power too any carbureted application! The next video we strap this thing to the dyno and see how much power our 347 is really making!

I just bought a 351 Windsor that I’m going to rebuild and I have to say, out of all the rebuild videos I’ve watched, your build series has to be the most detailed! Thanks for the content! It will be an awesome reference during my project 🤘🏼

What was the part # for the engine sling that bolts onto the end of the heads instead of the intake manifold? What two torque wrenches did you use on this build?
@2carpros
@2carpros Жыл бұрын
I don't have a part number on me but the threads for that head are 7/16-14 so just get long enough bolts at the hardware store. I used shop.snapon.com/product/TechAngle-Models-(2%-Accuracy)/1-2%22-Drive-TechAngle-Electronic-Torque-Wrench-(15%E2%80%93300-ft-lb)/ATECH3FR300B and shop.snapon.com/product/US-Torque-Instruments-(in-lb)/3-8%22-Drive-SAE-Adjustable-Click-Type-Compact-Fixed-Ratchet-Torque-Wrench-(40%E2%80%93200-in-lb)/QD2R200A But you don't need ones quite that expensive. I just happened to have them so I used them. Thanks for watching!

I see the provision for the dipstick in the timing cover, i dont think i have seen them being bolted to the headers. On my 69 galaxie, it bolts to the head and goes through the timing cover at the base. Just curious
@2carpros

Ours has a hole in the block for the dip tube so we are using that. Thanks for watching!

would the bolts going into the head with the engine sling be enough to support the motor with a transmission mounted to it as well with the aluminum heads? thanks
@2carpros
@2carpros 11 ай бұрын
If you have a lot of threads on the bolts in the head it is probably fine. Thanks for watching!

In general, a mid to high 400 lift hydraulic cam will work well for a daily driver lowrider.

@@ericfitzpatrick5319 First of all anyone recommending a camshaft without even knowing all of the specifics of the vehicle is an idiot!

I'm curious if that "carb" is california legal. Probably not which would be stupid cuz it would make older smog era cars and trucks more efficient.
@2carpros
@2carpros 2 жыл бұрын
I think it is. Luckily this is before OBDII which is what they plug into for smog here. So they will have to put a sniffer up the tail pipe which we will load with catalytic converters it will be 90000 times cleaner than stock. Thanks for watching!

I recently purchased an SBF. I have to tell you I am a GM guy so I know nothing about Fords. I am looking for the engine casting numbers and I noticed on your build it appears your ID numbers are in the same place. Mine are too rusted to read. Please help to newbie Ford guy. What possible year engine did I purchase. I have a picture of my cast number but wasn't sure how to attach it.

If they are too rusted to read then you really aren't going be able to tell what it came out of. Thanks for watching Pete!
