I want to try and do this now! If Chevy had offered a 2-door Caprice or Impala, it would have been like this. And they should have. Has the same window proportions as the 70s glasshouses and 80s box Chevys. Awesome job man

Hey everyone, I have been locked out of my YT account. The caprice is still as is in the video. I have been busy with family, jobs and paying side jobs. I hope to start working on the 2 door soon. You can contact me at zz drop shop on FB or IG.

Why does every hater automatically go to the safety, accident-death trap comments?? I wish KZbin would do a fabrication tier comment filter. You can go one up and one down. If you’re a 6/10 fabricator you can comment on a 5s and 7s..if you’re a 1/10 and HAVE never attempted this modification your comment automatically gets deleted. Holy crap it’s annoying reading these comments and clicking on the user and they have ZERO content posted. ANYWAY...I’m glad you pulled the trigger on doing this conversion. Impressive.

@puecow My 5th gen maxima has a big spot of rust, eating away at the radiator support core.. Would b easier to get welded instead of taking out the whole thing and putting the new one in but, if I cant get a good price for welding, I may have to put me an order in. Last driver had it sitting. Philadelphia

Not bad, but I want to see one that doesn’t have quarter windows that are as big, or bigger than what came in the car factory with four doors. Also not loving that it’s 5 inches shorter either. But, I am glad to see you used a Caprice, and it DOES look good so far, I guess I’ll just have to make one how I want to see it... : )
@aabrar19885 жыл бұрын
You made the doors longer but where did you get the window glasses If you made it than how did you curve it

@ChrisHenniker12 жыл бұрын
How much did you channel the car by? It would look all the more amazing if it was chopped and made a pillarless hardtop. I wonder what it'll look like if it came from the factory that way.
@TheSycobilly113 жыл бұрын
holy santa clause shit, that is fucking amazing. I'm just curious, would you build one for someone, how much would something like this cost if one were to provide a car?

You've made a lot of work, but I wouldn't like to crush in this car of yours. You've cut this car in half and welded! It's a death trap now. If someone hit your car on the doors side, it would split in two pieces!
@don-kv3eu4 жыл бұрын
Hopefully I don't get in a crush. But if you knew about cars, they are all welded together. The ones that are custom fabricated are stronger than factory.

@RadekOzzy85 If you're a competent welder a new weld joint is just as strong as the metal before it. That's the point. Something tells me he's not some 'booger' welder with a harbor freight mig.
