I’m not saying Sam isn’t good but his character being BS helped him during the match since peach could just flail on Rool and just z drop turnips to deal with his recovery. It’s not like Sam didn’t have a huge advantage over ben the whole time. I don’t even think that last stock was even cool. It just felt jank. Ben made a cool play since it was clutch, good use of crown trig, and it was stylish.

Vaquero Ben golds play was literally just a gimmick, I didn't see anything cool about it whatsoever tbh. Whereas Samsora's game 3 was a show of pure dominance. Krool vs. Peach is a closer matchup than you think. You make think Peach is broken and Samsora is carried or some dumb shit like that, but show me any other peach who does what Samsora does. He's just insanely skilled.

I can tell you, K Rool Peach MU is a NIGHTMARE, but with patience (a lot) it can be won. I personally experienced this a few months ago, where I fought 2 Peaches in the same tournament. Managed to win both sets, but it was SUPER clutch.

A top peach should NEVER lose a set to K.ROOL. K. Rool only pressure option is crown which peach can heavily use against him if she grabs it and cannonball which is punishable. The rest is him just getting edge-guarded into oblivion or ledgetrapped.

The point of the reversing counter is some moves are long enough that you can hit them with the reversed counter hitbox and kill them off the ledge at 40% or lower. DK's giant punch if badly spaced is a good example.

Can a heavy character in any smash game be great? Ben Gold pushes KRool to his limits, and he still gettin three stocked by one of the best characters in the game. That first game was clutch, but any game where a heavy like KRool takes a game from a Peach at this level involves serious capitalization on rare interactions. Other than that, my heavy bois are fighting an uphill battle just to get to B tier😔

Bowser is definitely very strong, idk how you define "great." Bowser is close to high-tier. Charizard is really slept-on though I don't think he really deserves past mid-tier, Bowser frame data is similar but he's way heavier than Charizard and has a frame 6 command grab. As for other super heavyweights, idk, hard to say. Brood proved that Piranha Plant is actually a hard counter to most melee characters like swordies or Captain Falcon, but he doesn't do too well in many other matchups. Basically your question is super open-ended.

@@fireandworms Bowser is pretty good, but when the limelight was on Leon for a time everyone grinded the Bowser matchup and relegated him to a bottom mid tie again. See any recent match between Cosmos/Juice against Leon. At one point Leon bodied them but since then they've adapted and are consistently wiping Leon out. I think Bowser was good early on, but now that the meta has developed a little bit and people tale him more seriously, he's a lot less of a threat

@@colebutler4442 Hmmm I can't say I agree that he's only a mid-tier, I think that Leon and other Bowser mains simply need to increase their skill level. They dominated early on and got complacent. The 6 frame command grab, safe and strong damage from Fire Breath, OOS Whirling Fortress, Bair kill confirm out of falling Nair, Dair splash damage, incredibly high weight, and tough guy collectively are amazing tools that can exploit even characters with good frame data like Chrom and Inkling. Purely a skill issue, Leon and others have work to do.

@@fireandworms You're right - they need to catch up. Perhaps I should reword my original complaint and explain it a little. Heavies have always had some of the hardest matchups in the game (save from maybe little mac, but we can ignore this one) in each game, typically as a consequence of their huge hurt boxes and slow movement. It would be nice to have a heavy that didn't suffer from these drawbacks, that wasn't always combo food, and didn't have such appaling matchups. The heavy character that has hard hits is an archetype you see in every video game, but as far as Smash is concerned it never amounts to a character that sits at the top of the tier list. Smash 5 Bowser is probably the closest we've ever come, but he still suffers immense drawbacks against characters that do sit at the top of the tier list (Peach, Inkling, etc). I don't think we'll ever see the day of a heavy being in S tier, or even high A tier, but I still pray that this happens.

Assuming I know what you're talking about, krool's upair has more horizontal momentum than his up b/free fall does, so doing it will bring you closer to the stage. Rightly timed, this allows you to catch turnips as well, so it's indispensable in this matchup
