Our India Adoption Trip (Day 9): A Frozen Sing Along (December 2, 2017)

I spent 4 months volunteering in Varanasi with differently abled children who had been abuse and abandoned, just after I turned 18. For that time myself and another girl where all these children had as parental figures or family. We were there day in day out, feeding, bathing, clothing, educating the children, and tucking them in at night. I got to experience the Indian lifestyle from a very different perspective, as we lived with these children in their little home, ate what they ate, and experienced their struggles. When it was time for me to leave it almost tore me apart, knowing I was going home to Australia and these 15 beautiful children that I had lived with, loved, and considered to be my own would stay behind; what you have done is beyond incredible. You have changed this beautiful little girls life!! While I am not a person of faith, I have so much respect for the forces that you believe led your family to find your daughter in India. I searched ‘gotcha day’ on youtube and you were among the top results, and I wanted to see how older children reacted so I watched. In the future I hope to adopt an older child as well, but likely domestically. You should had played frozen in hindi or bengali. And activated the subtitles in English. This way you all could had seen the movie. RightNow i don't think she would had understood anything going on. No problem though. In one or two years you can have another movie night where she will understand English too. So double the fun.
