I began my gold buying experience in Oct '21 with a work bonus... determined to buy a quarter AGE with some of it rather than waste all of it. Best move I ever made as it got me into the mindset of acquiring another gold coin every time some "extra" money came in.

Sounds good and can be a really good way of saving some money from time to time, rather than spending it all. I started buying silver in 2010 and gold in 2013. Been at this for a while and have a solid stack of both metals. When the next silver squeeze comes, I plan to sell about half of my silver and use that cash for buying more gold. Completed my silver stacking goal in 2019, so only buy on rare occasions when something I really like is available as a good price. BU and AU grade pre-1921 Morgans, BU 1964 Kennedy halves, and proof US Statehood quarters are my favorites.

Thanks for sharing your gold journey. I also started in 2008 with a Maple Leaf. Didn't care what others thought. I kept going with the Maples and that's pretty much all I have. I have only 2 collectibles including one Canadian gold coin from 1913. I had no plan for monthly buying, just one every so often when I can. I met my girlfriend in 2011 and when I learned she also bought gold for the same reason as me, I knew she was a keeper and we got married the following year. In 2022 we sold our overpriced house and converted much of it into gold, then bought two properties overseas in a safer place than Canada, where we now keep the bulk of it. We have enough to support the next several generations after my own children, so they'll never have to go hungry or homeless, and that's good enough for me.

The Gold/Silver I bought last year is worth $43,000 MORE today than I paid for it, so I'm buying more Gold, even at current prices, as I'm already "ahead" and (besides) I'm confident in BIG increases in value going forward (and) I'm really into Gold/Silver to protect my assets (at this time) anyway, so any more increases in values are just "gravy" to me.

There will always be people out there that has more than you. The only thing you need to focus on is to make smart choices for your own economy. It is not about buying gold with all your money. You need a place to live, and if you have money to save, it is always a good choice to diversify and put your money in several different asset classes. But it is always a no brainer to put some of your savings in gold. "Some" is her relative to whatever amount of money you have. It could be 50 troy ounces of gold. It could be 1 troy ounces of gold, or even 1/4 ounces of gold. Everyone need to start saving somewhere. To build wealth is like a very long race that spans over several decades. The most important part is to actually start saving. Put some of your money in gold. Put some money in a nice house. Put some money in quality, solid company stocks. How that pie looks depends on what phase in life you are in. A young man/womans savings will obviously look much different than a 50 year old that probably also has a lot more capital. But ... to start saving is the best thing you can do for your self and your family. One small step at the time 🙂

Since 2014. It’s been a wild ride. Clawed my way out of the Great “Recession”, (that’s a BS name if you were in it), by 2012. By 2014 I decided that I wanted something outside the financial system and also, something that would hold its value for generations. I wanted a backup plan. I started with silver, more out of convenience as well as ignorance. I haven’t regretted the silver. It’s good savings. I haven’t lost money on it. If I were starting again I would budget gold, which has not been easy over the last year. The Great Recession and Precious Metals taught me to be a student of personal finance and economics. "Clawed my way out of the Great “Recession”, (that’s a BS name if you were in it)..." Agreed. 2008 was the start of a depression and not any kind of a recession. It took several years of persistently high unemployment for the US economy to fully recover and there were a lot of under-the-table things going on to paper over that huge mess. This did not cure these issues, it only papered over the cracks in the foundation so that they were less visible. The damage is still there, waiting to show up again.

Yes, please do a video on storage options. The only "gold" I have is shares in an ETF because I am unwilling to keep gold at home - burglaries happen and the insurance is way too expensive. Plus, buying gold you never see from people you've never met, working for an online company you've never visited, which offers storage you can't confirm introduces a whole lot of the counter party risk that gold supposedly doesn't have. Sure, State Street could go bankrupt, too, but I think that is a lot less likely than any of the online dealers making off with your funds, which has happened more than once. Not worried about SHTF, but am a bit concerned about The Great Taking, which probably would affect ETF shares but probably wouldn't affect physical if it is actually owned by me in my name rather than owned by XYZ Gold Co with just a bookkeeping entry showing it is "mine" even if it is allocated and segregated - but how do you know?

For me I like to look at the history of gold. If the history is a teacher you need to pay attention. You need to study the reasons why gold moves in the way it does. There are a lot of factors that can move gold. The charts that I see show the trend. This trend is going up. According to the charts when there are dips and spikes you need to know why and what events are causing these and then you can get a better idea in the future where gold will be going. And with a lot of chaos on this planet in my view gold will start picking up pace. Which makes it harder to buy the dips because they are shorter and shallower. By the way I love your collector set looks beautiful

Amazing load very impressive I remember my first purchase of gold back in the early 90's and I started out with 1oz gold buffalos numismatic for $500 which I thought was so expensive at the time stacking takes a lot of discipline and plenty of patience would I do it again yes in a heartbeat it's a great great savings hands down thanks for sharing 2is1 well appreciated peace

You never retouched on the roosters. I had plans on accumulating 50 of them, but stopped at 36.

Have started watching you recently. Have some silver and small amounts of gold, live in Orlando FL; 81 years; own home free; trying to diversify o. Have IRA in cash. Want to use this IRA money approx $60k. Have some cd & cash. Wanted to move my IRA into gold/silver IR@A but haven't seen any reviews of trustworthy companies. In addition I do believe in "if you don't hold them you don't own them" trying not to cash in IRA and avoid penalties. Thoughts?

With current market conditions does it makes sense to hold gold at todays price for next 5yrs & use it to payoff existing mortgage at 6% later?

i started buying gold at $1,800 last year. Good timing I suppose. lots of perth bars and buffalos with the occasional gamble on a rarer coin (most recent being $200 canadian pulsating high relief maple leaf". Others like the Napoleon and 2021 spanish lynx are still beautiful to look at though I expected them to go higher in volume. zero regrets on any buys overall. will not be selling for a long time and have alerts set for every 3% to the downside, after which I will decide at that point if i want to buy or not. Gl to all. Long and strong

Now is the perfect time and probably the last chance to buy and silver as the whole world is changing, countries are de dollarizing and brics is expanding. The US reserve currency will be a thing of the past! We are at the beginning of a commodities boom era and a possibility of another gold standard reserve currency! Just like with everything in life, there needs to be a limit to growth. Trees only grow so high. The grass only grows so long. The hair on your head can only grow as much as you are able to maintain it! (Strong comparison to the US national debt) We need sustainability and not limitless growth. Gold and silver offer that!

Can you do a video on how I can convince my wife that I should stack (more) gold? 😅
@2is1gold2 ай бұрын
Ha, I'll add it to the list. 😄

Best of luck with that. My wife and daughter only see cash as money. Credit cards and checks are an OK substitute in a pinch. I have tried many times to convince them that owning PMs is a great way to save money and have it keep up with inflation, but after a couple of minutes I can see their eyes glaze over and I know that they are not listening. Talking after that is completely useless. At least my wife no longer complains about me "spending all that money" on gold or silver. She got the message when my 1st gold purchase for less than $1200 an oz. went to $1400, then $1600, and well, you know the rest. I did buy her a beautiful gold chain and crucifix pendant that she really likes as a Christmas gift a few years ago, so maybe jewelry is the way to go with gold for the ladies?

Anybody that paid $1,000 for a one ounce Gold Coin was nuts…weren’t they? Amazing how time, inflation, and the continued collapse of the U.S. dollar completely contradicts that statement. I started buying when it cost around $1,400, and every family member (in-law side) told me that I was nuts. As a matter of fact, the only one that was on my side was my son, who I was purchasing it for in the first place. I can tell you now, he’s pretty happy about it, and they (in-law side, including the wife) still think I waste money on “those coins”. My advice to EVERYONE is to do what you feel is best for you (and your children).

Don't really understand the purpose of this video. You want to buy gold and can afford it, but it! The price shouldn't matter. Gold is gold, always has been and always will be. An ounce of gold today will still be an ounce of gold tomorrow and 10K years from now. Gold has been money since the beginning of time and gold is God's money. Always has been, always will be! Gold is a true store of value and always will be.
