Goodness man. I work for my brother who owns his turbo business and I would be fired immediately if I ever sent a turbo out to a customer “packaged” like that. Unreal. Some people just don’t care as long as they have your money🙄

That's strange as their packaging is normally great, especially for the gold anodised turbine wheel turbos, I have one, those are their more upmarket turbo range, anyways sucks you received it like that.

I wanna say I love what your doing, I have a 2nd gen gs300 too and I’m trying to push 500whp by next summer keep us updating on your engine build pls🖤💯

Very interesting. I always see these NaT builds. people would spent up to 6-10k turboing the Is300 or sc. I never understood why people just dont get a 1j. its much cheaper. I had one in my Is300 but it only cost me 5k with everything including the car it was 6k total. times changed everything is so expensive now

Yo man do you think it would be easier to just swap my gs with 1jz and r154 or building a ge-t build with around 350-450 hp? Love the videos btw man.

Keep the na-t a 1jz is like 5k stock not including mods vs building your motor for the same price and getting more power out of it. And I’d recommend either and ar5 manual transmission or a cd009/cd00a because they have a lot of aftermarket support and can handle your power goals easily.

Just rebuild, I was thinking about going GTE rods and pistons if my ge blows up at 300ish whp. Also arp headstuds and gte head gasket. My recommendation for transmission would be bmw ZF GS6 53dz or 37dz, 37dz handles about 800nm which I have atm and 53dz is upto 1000. Pretty cheap here where I live.

Hate to break it to ya. They are not billet. They are magnesium cast wheels and anodize to hide it. The non anodize version the polish to make it look alike. Billet means cut out of a single block of aluminum. There are no CNC cut marks on any portion of those wheels. My injector hat manufacturer has confirmed this for me as well when I noticed my hats appeared to look cast and they explained the casting method.

@@SidewaysPerformance , take the compressor wheel cover off. Remove all doubt. Give us a full breakdown. And agree, free is good but facts are better. 😬

Hi, Rocky. All of our street performance turbos use forged full-machined billet aluminum compressor wheels. If our consumers feel they are not made of billet aluminum, we are willing to preserve their rights.

stock auto shimmed 2jz-ge - guy says he wants na-t 350-400hp daily driver setup. Best bang for buck / reliability combo - whats the total all in cost? Parts Labor and Tune? What are you recommending and how much does the customer need to budget for the project?

I think it would be interesting too a build with their rods and turbo kit and see just how well it all goes. Maybe shoot for 800-1000 HP. 👌👍👍👍🏁🏁🏁

The rods from maxspeed are kinda goofy, My friend has had 2 sets of them and both failed and blew a hole into the block. We are pretty sure at this point they were not selling real ARP studs.
