Oh shit, I did the exact same thing to my fuel labs FPR. The orange diaphragm blows out when you hook up the lines backwards. You can buy a rebuild kit from them for like $30. Fuel was pouring out of the ref hose into the intake manifold causing a super rich condition.

They both have very similar properties. It’s probably down to price and user preferences at this point. BMM uses tuner studio which is much more common in the US.

@j h my mx5 it on ITB's and it is instant! It's also on Drive By Wire which people say is a little bit slower (which is true as I can see it in the log of tps demand vs tps actual) but it still feels instant in person

How did you run the gauge readout with the wideband being plugged straight into the ecu? Do you have a second sensor running to the gauge for just a readout or pull a signal from the ecu to display on the gauge?

I still can't understand why the numbers are so low... I like Miatas and all that, but they just dont make much power. Is it the head design, cams, or ??? I have a Civic with a K20 and a Miata with a 1.8 and the power differences is ENORMOUS! I know my Miata isnt making over 130hp but my, unopened, Kswapped Civic makes 225WHP/175ft.lbs with just a .2 liter difference. The Miatas are SUCH nice cars but they, for whatever reason are super lethargic and it just breaks my heart.

K series tech is a decade newer than a BP for starters. Head design is a big part of it.

Don't throw away stock ECU's! Especially NA6 ones had some capacitors that like to leak over time. Those of us driving stock Miatas might need those older parts. Random Miata fact: The NA6 1993 California ECU is an especially hard to find one as it was a one year and one state only ECU. Had sequential injection harness that was not used on Federal emissions US Miatas.

Sadly, even if you can source another used ECU, you'll have the same issues with capacitors. Honestly, the best way to deal with leaking capacitors is to just replace them with new. You don't need another used board to do that.
