your injectors are pink because they are stage 0.. o.O you should replace them with a set of stage 1, (black and blue oem MOPAR) injectors, with your ecu, they should be plug in and play and will need a battery reset to calibrate. Since your ecu is technically stage 1.

LET’S GO!!!! Appreciate the shout out!!!! That came out really well! Btw, the oil in the intake is a common issue, usually a new PCV valve and a catch can will really clean that all up!

Hell yeah brother! Appreciate you making this video possible already! I love the way the paint job came out! Yeahh I notice it has gotten better since I replaced the PCV, but I really need to get a catch can on that thing again asap! Soon to come 👀

it appears that the lower intake manifold is plastic instead of aluminum . Correct? Can the second gen intake be used with the aluminum intake?

Hey, man! Awesome video. I’m in the process of doing this swap right now. Did you have any issues with the engine oil dipstick tube lining back up on the plastic manifold? It looks like the mounting tab is in a different location compared to the aluminum manifold.

I have the composite manifold on my modded 03 PT GT. No problems. The forums report better flow with this ugly plastic one. Go figure. Wish I could use the front mounted SRT4 Neon intake.

He gotcha on the fuel line. That was funny. But I have a couple of tech questions, 1rst, are you running with the cam cover off? And, how are YOU defeating the rev limiter ? Foot note; those yellow dotted lines in the road pass by at a rate of two per second at 60mph. You're passing them at a rate of 4 per second. ( you do the math) 'Cause believe me , others are doing the math too. Be wise and be safe.

PT GT's and other limited Dodge/Chrysler models of this generation had what's called an Autostick transmission. You can Google for specifications, the name is rather self-explanitory....

No problem man! Glad the video could help, it was a really good upgrade Imo.. although if it wasn't for my aluminum one being in such poor shape I probably would have never got around to it lol!
@roughboygarage14753 жыл бұрын
Use the aluminum intake. All around a better quality intake. There is no noticeable flow difference between the two from factory. The aluminium one can be ported to increase flow and also drilled and tapped for nitrous. A simple gasket matching to lower intake and behind throttle body(the biggest bottle neck in the system) will shorten spool up time and drastically increase flow and expansion into the ports from the plenum. The aluminum also has much greater sealing surface for higher boost levels.

@@roughboygarage1475 plastic has been tested to flow better stock for stock, much smoother runners , disapate heat much faster, I will agree on the aluminum being able to port, but it all reality, swaping to a factory srt4 neon manifold would be the biggest upgrade, much shorter cold side pipe run, just my 2 cents and knowledge over the years
@roughboygarage14753 жыл бұрын
@@kerryperry7638 I'd like to see those tests. I looked for the ones I seen 3 years ago for a couple of hours last night but I'm not sure which forum it was on. (Cruiser links i think). The blanket statement of switching to a neon is somewhat misleading. It really depends on the application. The short runners would slightly increase the upper rpm horsepower at a sacrifice to the lower rpm torque. Where as with either the plastic or aluminum PT intake the longer runners produce more low end torque but dont really take away that much hp up top(if any) on a stock long block engine. PTs are not what I'd call lightweight. Low rpm torque along with a few low cost mods and parts to get the turbo spooling up faster and at a lower rpm is what really gets the car moving. Especially with an automatic trans. Porting the intake around the throttle body, porting the crap out of the exhaust manifold at the down pipe elbow outlet and around the waste gate flap, switching to hard pipe charge piping(the factory rubber likes to swell up at higher boost levels) ,along with an ADP waste gate actuator and stage 1 or tuned PCM, can really get those TDO4s spooling up to full boost at a lot lower rpm than most realize. The TD04 can put out up to 30+psi(although I have yet to get one to survive at 30psi).(I really like to find someone to build a billet wheeled ball bearing version).
