The follow up to this song was called Hate You. It was supposed to be fxxk you but they made it a clean version instead 😂 That song has a more "I'm amazing, eff you whoever think otherwise" kinda vibe

Love 2NE1, they are my ult group. This was the Japanese version though, the Korean version is better especially the rock version.

I remember when YG said to Dara in front of CL that Dara is a natural beauty and CL felt a lil down (2ne1TV). And even when Dara was the "face value" of the group she hates to not be appreciated for her charisma, singing and dancing (which for me she is my fav voice and member). So even if this song doesn´t apply for Dara´s beauty since she´s considered one of the best faces in korean standard (Once a plastic surgeon nominated her as the best face among all female artists at that time even above Yoona and Suzy) it touchs another kind of uglinness and that´s to be just validate for your looks and not your whole talents. Also she said that some members of other female groups laughed of her hair styles (that´s quite remarkable, hehe) and at the begining she felt bad but then she embraced those perjudices and started to enjoy her uniqueness. So yeah, this song is amazing.

Jim, you might remember you reacted in another past video, I think it was one of the Rise of Bangtan episodes, not sure, seeing that article where YG professed that BlackPink was just a prettier version of 2NE1. And that got you peeved, but that you already knew about YG's antics. Maybe that might jar your memory. So yup, that is the reason for this song. Unfortunately by YG saying that, it not only put pressure on him & initially pressure on 2NE1, but it also put pressure on BlackPink, as if BlackPink was an innocent bystander in a drive-by shooting. It did also sort of create some rift in the fandoms for a little bit. As we all know, BTS continued the "love yourself" theme in the times when idols & regular people are picked depending on their looks. The irony of YG though is that he used to be in Seo Taiji & Boys, the group that was the impetus & inspiration for the birth of the KPop idol industry, which by the way I hope you continue your rabbit hole with Seo Taiji. The "Father" needs some more love himself, heh, as most youtubers react more to his "children", i.e. the KPop groups, & less of him. As I've said many times in comments over the years, there is no BTS, nor BlackPink, nor 2NE1, etc if it wasn't for Seo Taij first.

They were different. Most of Kpop girl groups are very pretty like a doll but they were not pretty like a doll, so their nick name in Korea was ugly girls. However, it does not means they were really ugly. They were called 'Mot nan yi' in Korean. Mot nan yi means that not pretty but cute and adorable.

2ne1 is YG mistake(s) I mean, 2ne1 is a legendary group great vocal and live performance but YG wasted and didnt maange the artist well, they disbanded, then BP was born with a 'repaired version' still a good performer but with 'prettier' looks (face, body, hair,visual),
