It’s funny how over time, the opinions have shifted. I grew up in that era, 20 years ago most would have said biggie, because the rap game resembled a lot of the likes of biggie and his influence shined more. But as the years have gone on, PACs messages in his songs have become more timeless and aged like fine wine. So now you see this shift where more ppl rock with pac. But like I said it would have been more for BIG, they’re just different artists, but pac was more versatile and when Big started doing things like pac it pissed him off especially with the quad shooting and that timing of big changing up his style it was like he was trying to replace PAC. PAC was irreplaceable as he had more avenues that he represented he wasn’t just a rapper he was an actor and an activist he could be on tv for stuff unrelated to music and ppl wanted to watch. He was just a deeper dude that’s why he wasn’t the best lyricist but was good. BIG was 100% pure rapper lyricist so on wax he was just as influential but in any other arena pac would have outshined him. If they had a tv debate speaking their differences PAC would have come off more intelligent and big would have sounded slow and unenthusiastic. I love em both but PAC is just that dude
