We are known for banding together to get things done. Several years back, a train was in the station during a busy part of the day, and a man lost his footing trying to board the train and ended up with one leg stuck between the carriage and the platform, unable to get himself out of the predicament. Immediately the train conductor became aware of it and delayed the train’s departure. Several people from the platform tried to help but he was really stuck. So then they got everyone to exit the carriage and as soon as everyone was out, they began to push the carriage by leaning on it, trying to widen the gap so the man could get free. If you search KZbin for it, you should be able to find it.

Enjoying your Aussie series! I went there for the first time two months ago. Started in Jacksonville, Florida and flew across the country to Los Angeles. A few hours later, I boarded a flight to Sydney. I love Qantas! With no sleep, and arriving 2 days later than when I left, I rented a car and drove to Melbourne. From there, I highly recommend the Great Ocean Highway. A wild Koala bear crossing the road and hugging a Eucalyptus tree was the highlight of my trip. An incoming Cyclone ended my chance of seeing the Great Barrier Reef, but there will be other opportunities. My take-home from this brief travel is to be open-minded, appreciate and embrace change and other cultures, and to just not fret the small stuff (or the big stuff, like the cyclone) and enjoy what is in front of you. The experience made me appreciate what I have and affirms that people are lovely everywhere. Australia made me feel welcomed.

melbourne weather is 4 seasons in 1 day. I believe the reason is depending where the winds are coming as below melbourne is tasmania and below that is a continent called Antartica. Sydney weather is similar depending where the winds come from. Western winds is dry heat during summer and Eastern / Southern Winds are cooler. Thats why you get one day in the low 20's celcius and the next is mid to high 30's celcius

Great to see both of you enjoying your time in Oz! The weather here in Melbourne will definitely keep you guessing lol - hotter than Sydney in summer but much colder in winter. Safe travels and come back soon - there’s plenty more to see and do!

Glad you got the van unlocked, some helpful Aussies did the job. That automatic locking is more than likely a safety feature so you dont leave the vehicle unlocked when you are away. A good feature actually, just keep the key in your pocket or find somewhere to hide it on the van. I used to carry a spare key outside my camper, but I did have a key cut that would only unlock the van if I happened to lock my keys It wouldn't start the vehicle. Have fun and enjoy the click-clack railway and the ride across the canyon...by the way.... a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo because of his yellow crest. 👍👍

Make sure you go to "Anvil Rock" at the Blue Mountains in the afternoon!!! It will BLOW you AWAY! Can I suggest a more pleasant wake up ringtone: "Urban Grooves" - Deep Collection 4 by DJ Paulo Arruda, once you have it downloaded to your phone you can set it (or any song for that matter) as the ring tone you wish. It has the most laid back and quiet beginning I have come across. Didi you take any footage of the drive there? It would be nice if you showed us some of that next week. I'm loving your videos of Australia. I hope you come near my place, the Sutherland Shire eventually! ENJOY!

I know it’s fucked up but it’s very simple to just keep the key in your pocket. Or keep the key on the inside next to an open window so that if it does lock you up you can just grab the key. I’m glad you were able to get back in at the end of the last videoI was quite scared for you guys

A good idea not to have shown exaactly what your neighbours did to help you get into your locked RV! You seem to be having great fun. Another good video by you. We have friends who moved to Australia (because their son & daughter separately moved there, to Sidney, so they joined their children a couple of years or so later. Get ti see more of grand-daughter etc). They return to the UK for 3 months each year (June-September) but they have bought an RV - a big Elddis - which they leave in the UK in storage. They join us and a group of friends they have known since their youth, camping in various places each weekend, like they used to do throughout the year when they lived full time in the UK. Of course it is easier when retired as they are not limited to one holiday plus vatious weekends. One of the places we go to every year is the Northumberland Coast in July/August, for about 23 nights, and they join us there, using it a base to go elsewhere like Scotland for trips away. The RV is MoT/Serviced every year, ready for the next 12 months and it is stored but friends have the keys and are insured to drive it, so they can take it out for the odd trip to avoid its seizing up, as it might if left parked up for 9 months. They enjoy the Sidney area (they live in a beach/bay town within striking distance of Sidney). I think they prefer the UK summers as 20-26C is much more liveable than 26-36C. And little chance here of forest fires so they can lightbup their BBQ every day (as we do). Living the van life (caravan life in our case) has various forms.... Some of our friends spend 100+ nights a year in their motorhomes (in addition to treks abroad, like the Himalayas, Andes a few months ago, Karakorums, Alps, Norway which they traditionally go to for Nordic skiing about this time of year etc). I hope you continue to enjoy your Aussie RV trip!

Ah you say bad things come in threes but you’re looking at it wrong. Really, good things happened. You got stuck on the 1st day but people came and helped you gain access to the park, then other lovely folk helped you get back in the van, the roadside coffee man provided a drink to keep you going until you could enjoy a relaxing BBQ with the comfort of your van inches away. It would only have been bad if nobody assisted you and Aldi had been closed. This is the PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) we have in Australia rather than the negative UK one… and as a Brit, I can say that!

Did you by chance unlock it (because you accidentally locked it) and then hung the keys up through the window and then it closed the windows and locked itself? Just guessing really. Modern vehicles usually relock if a door hasn't been opened in a minute or two. The assumption is that you unlocked it accidentally or changed your mind about getting in. Keep having fun :)
@2Passports1Dream11 ай бұрын
Hehe no, that’s where we keep the key, we were inside and then went to sit outside and it locked itself 🥲
