Wow thanks for sharing

May I share this? My sister owns a home in Scituate.

Most of these homes were built a long time ago. Coastal defenses have been built but the flooding has gotten worse over time. Do whatever you wish with that information.

Build not thine house upon sand.

I don't know why people have a compulsion to build right next to the ocean. It's just a matter of time until something like this happens.

If stilts are needed that should be enough to tell you not to build properties in the ocean 🤔

Wonder if there are any waterfront homes in this neighborhood . . .

+ ICWe812 Waterfront housing? More like offshore housing.

Coastal defenses will have to be built here. I'm not exactly a great believer in the hysteria about Sea level rises, but watching this footage, one does have to wonder.

the seas stopped rising a couple years ago, what you're witnessing here is full moon tides combined with storm surge...additionally, as the sun begins shutting down for the next solar minimum the intensity of storms will amplify exponentially. global warming is propaganda aimed at enriching the lives of the few thru carbon tax credits, simply another ponzi scheme created by those who believe the own us.

Ok thanks. Yeah Carbon Tax is a scam for sure. I went to the beach today and the sea levels look the same as they always are considering the tide times.

ascendingstarseed Great post! They'll use footage like this to push their propaganda on us.

Any coastal defense scheme would have to be massive to effectively protect this town. Judging by Google Maps, most of the land in this area is flat. That means the seawall will have to extend a long way up & down the coast. Also, if you build a large seawall on the shore, it'll ruin the view, so any seawall would have to be built a fair distance offshore. Unless some really rich person donates a ton of money, I don't see it happening, it's far too expensive. Poor people, they're screwed.

Sad that these people built their houses so close to the coastline, especially in view of climate change and rising sea levels. Insanity really!!!!
@marioncobaretti22805 жыл бұрын
these houses have mostly been there since the late 1800,s, most of them were raised up on stilts after blizzard 78 which was the first storm to begin this flooding trend.

This is why insurance is so high for all of us. Because of idiots who build on the beach.
